I tossed and turned all night long. I kept looking over to the window, afraid Victor was going to pop his head out. I finally drifted off to sleep around 3 in the morning. I was instantly pulled into a nightmare. I was walking in a creepy field at night. I tried calling out to someone.
"He-hello?" I asked in a scared, shaky voice. There was no response. Suddenly, I felt a pair of hands grip my wrist hard. They dragged me to a large brick wall that wasn't there before, pinning my hands there. I tried to focus on the person in front of me. I immediately knew who it was. Victor. I felt my pulse rushing through my veins a mile a minute. My heart was beating abnormally fast, sweat and tears streaming down my face.
"I found you." he said in a low creepy voice. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I started getting the feeling that someone was jerking me. I suddenly woke up with a start, still screaming. Someone pulled me into a hug. I knew then it was Mason. He whispered calming word into my ear. I was still sweating and crying, but my heart beat slowed down a little.
"Are you okay now?" he asked, concern laced in his voice. I nodded on his shoulder.
"Do you want a glass of water?" he asked. I shook my head no. He pulled out of the hug and stood up.
"Are you sure your okay?" he asked again. I nodded.
"I'm sure." I assured him. With that, he walked back to his room. I didn't want to go to sleep, too afraid that I would be pulled into another nightmare.

The sun started shining into the window around 5:30 this morning. I started thinking. I have to leave. I thought to myself. I can't keep living in fear. I have to go. My thoughts were interrupted by a sleepy headed Mason walked info the living room.
    "Morning." he said.
    "Good morning." I responded back.
"So, do you want some breakfast? I can make eggs and toast." he offered.
"Mason, I have to leave. I can't stay here, living in fear like this. I have to go somewhere where I feel safe." I told him. He listened quietly, nodding in agreement.
"You're right. I think leaving would be safer for you." he answered. Relieved that he agrees, I went over to the computer in his room and started looking for flights.

I spent a good half an hour online looking for a flight. I decided I wanted to go to California for two reasons. One, it on the opposite side of the United States so it's on the other side of where Victor lives. Two, I've always wanted to go there. After ages of looking I finally found a flight. I would have to be at the airport at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. I left his room excited to tell Mason that I had a flight.
"Mason, I got a flight, its at tomorrow, 6 a.m." I told him with a bit of excitement in my voice.
"That's great!" he exclaimed. In a more jokey voice he added, "Don't be a stranger now that you are going to California and leaving me here in New Jersey to freeze my ass off. I want you to call me as soon as you land, okay?" he joked sounding like an over protective parent.
"Okay dad!" I joked rolling my eyes smiling. He laughed. We hung out for the rest of the day, knowing I'm probably not going to see him for a long time.

The next morning I woke up at 5 a.m., not that I got to much sleep to begin with. I had another nightmare last night. I hope this is the last one. I stood up to get ready. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I heard Mason come out of his room.
"Ood morfin!" I said with a mouthful of toothpaste. He laughed
"What!!" he asked while laughing. I spit out my toothpaste and tried again.
      "Good Morning." I said again.
"Oh, good morning. Do you want some breakfast? I can make you something." he offered.
"No thanks, the sooner I get to the airport, the better." I responded.
"Okay, then lets go right now." he said. We walked out to his car. It was really early so no one was out. We drove in comfortable silence all the way there. When we finally arrived he pulled up to the entrance.
"Do you want me to go in with you?" he asked.
"You don't have to, I'm sure you are tired. Thank you, for everything. I really appreciate it." I told him honestly.
"Its no problem. We're best friend. Just call me anytime, okay." he told me, he gave me a nice big Bear hug before I left. I got out of the car, but before I went in I turned around and waved at him. He waved back before driving away.

I walked in, it was more crowded then I was expecting. I immediately went to the metal detectors. The kind gentleman standing there scanned me before saying that I could go. I made my way over to my gate. I still had a half an hour until they start letting people on the plane. I decided to grab something to eat at a mini market across from the gate. I got a muffin and an apple juice. When I walked out I noticed they are starting to let people on. Quickly getting into line, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that as soon as I get on to this flight, I will be safe. When my turn came, I have my ticket to the lady collecting them and boarded the flight. I flopped down in my seat. I sat there waiting for the plane to take off. Finally, after 25 minutes, the plane took off in the sky.
