July 2nd, 12 Days until the Ball [Night]
Adrien arrived at the hospital about 20 minutes later. Marinette's surgery was still going on. It's been about an hour already.
Sabine and Tom was talking to the doctors on a Marinette's current condition when Adrien showed up. He went into the room, and was quickly bombarded with questions from Nino and Alya.
"Dude, where were you?! I've been trying to contact you for a few hours!" Nino complained.
"Do you know how serious this is?!" Alya screamed.
"I'm so sorry guys, I was watching old footage of my mom and dad and didn't see the texts until recent. I'm so sorry. How's she doing." Adrien apologized.
"Well, I know how important your mom is to ya, but Mari is doing very bad." Nino said.
Alya continued. "She has minor brain and spine problems and BIG abdomen and heart problems."
"And more we just found out." Tom added.
They all turned around, Sabine was tearing up again and Tom looked like he could any second.
"While Dr. Bailey was working on Mari's abdomen and found more internal issues. Sh-she found multiple bruised ribs. Said it's a wonder Marinette is still pulling through."
"No!" Alya cried. She leaned against Nino who was tearing as well. Adrien stood in shock.
"As your friends you would know," Sabine said "Has Marinette been getting beaten up?" She started bursting into tears again. A parents love for their child is very strong and when the child is hurt, the parents are wounded as well.
"No, not that we know of." Adrien quietly said.
Alya suddenly gasped and ran to the small tablet on the table.
"Alya, wait is it?" Nino asked.
Alya pulled up a few things and then started to cry again.
"Alya?" Sabine and Tom asked.
"I-I think I know what happened to her, but I need more proof to be sure. I'll be right back. I need to call the surveillance team."
Alya walked out of the room, right as Dr. Strange walked in.
"Hello. I have more news. Marinette's surgery is almost finished. They repaired everything, but we'll need to keep her overnight to watch her. She'll have to be in a wheelchair until Thursday so the pains don't get worse, and be careful. One wrong move, or too much excitement until Thursday could reopen the heart and cause more damage."
"Thank you." They all said.
Alya walked in again. "I'm getting the surveillance tomorrow after school. "
"What?" Adrien questioned.
"You missed that conversation. I'll explain tomorrow." Alya said.
Then Marinette was rolled in. She knocked out from the surgery, she had her eyes half open and was muttering.
"Mari!" Sabine and Tom said, they held heir baby girls's hands. She was safe.
"Don't worry MarMar, it will be alright." Tom said. Playfully, tugging one of her ponytails.
Marinette looked up and also saw Alya, Nino, and...Adrien. Oh no! She thought.
"Dr.Balck, her heartbeat just dramatically increased." The nurse said.
