"...it's you." Chat Noir said, changing back. Adrien was star-struck in awe at what he just witnessed.
"It has been YOU all along. Marinette!... you're My Lady." He started to chuckle, but then saw the look on his Lady's face. "Marinette?"
Marinett...
"I'll get you Adrien's Black Cat ring too. I won't fail." Marinette screamed the last sentence, but her screams were blocked by the moving traffic and noises of Paris. Of her home.
In her hands a pair or earrings appeared. They were round like the Ladybug miraculous, but was purely black with no dots.
Before Marinette but the earrings on, she headed inside and went downstairs. The tv had a tennis match playing in the background while her parents were going over plans for the bakery.
"Hey Maman and Papa." Marinette said.
"Hey sweetie, wanna help us with the new layout."
Marinette walked over to them. She rested her head on her father's shoulder and looked at the designs on the table.
"Papa, what is that?" Marinette asked, pointing to a weird sketch drawn towards the back of the bakery.
"Oh that? That's our Akuma safehold. During the Akuma Attack, we usually end up taking in a couple people, so-" Maman started.
"We are going to create a safehold and make it known that if there's an Akuma nearby, people can come to us for safety." Papa finished. He pulled his wife and daughter into a tight hug.
Marinette stood up. "I think that's a great idea. I-i wouldn't want anything to happen to you two." She gave her mom and dad a kiss on the cheek.
"Got to go. Love you!"
"Be careful. Don't stay out to late." They called out as Marinette left.
"I'll do no harm to them...right?" she to herself
Rain started to fall as she walked. Marinette walked until she found an empty alley. She was wet and freezing but the burning pain inside Marinette motivated her and kept her warm.
Marinette looked down at the earrings in her hands.
And she put them on.
Immediately, Marinette was surrounded by a black light. Her hair came loose from her two ponytails. Marinette watched as black and red ribbons started surrounding her. She was no longer wet from rain.
Memories shone from the black light. Memories of Chloé bullying Marinette. Of every single bad thing that has happened to her. Marinette kept turning round and round, seeing a new memory come to light with each turn.
Lastly, she turned around and saw a certain cat scream "You said you love 'Adrien', How is Chat Noir any different?!"
The indescribable pain inside Marinette that has been building up since she got the Lady Fortune akuma finally was too much to bear.
"NO! Just-just STOP IT YOU IDIOT!!! DONT PRETEND I MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU!!!"
A long sword miraculously appeared in her hand.
Marinette took a step forwards and drove it into Chat Noir's chest. Chat bled out and turned to Adrien. Marinette looked into his gorgeous green eyes.. and watched them grow cold. She pulled the knife out of Adrien's body and he fell on the ground. A soft thud
And the transformation to Lady Fortune was complete.
Back in the rain, Lady Fortune looked into a nearby puddle and saw her new look.
Lady Fortune's hair, unlike Ladybug's ponytails, was loose. Free. Her outfit was not like the Ladybug suit in any way. There was some hard armor that was red, but the rest was black as a storm with purple outlines. And while it was definitely made for battle, the outfit resembled not the tech modern-ish look of the Ladybug suit, but ancient chinese armor. Makes sense since the miraculous' were of Chinese heritage. The suit was loose and flowing, but dark. The mask was black and red. Deadly, but beautiful.

"Woah." Lady Fortune said. Touching her mask, she started to laugh.
"Finally. Everything will go my way."
The rain still fell, but seemed to clear a way for Lady Fortune as she ran. Her dark hair flew loose behind her. Lady Fortune ran until she got to the Eiffel Tower. A man was performing a mime show for a big audience. Then she flew. Lady Fortune flew to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Gasps ran through the crowd like a plague.
"Who's the new Akuma victim?... she looks familiar.." some said. Others said run.
"Hello Paris. Remember me?" Lady Fortune said. She smirked at the audience as nobody responded.
"No one?" She asked again. Lady Fortune rolled her eyes and in a loud mimicking voice said: "De-evilize! Bye bye little butterfly! Miraculous Ladybug."
A red-haired boy named Nathenial shouted from the front row "Ladybug!?"
Lady Fortune laughed as the crowd went berserk.
"Ladybug!?? What! How! Run for your damn lives! All hope is dead!!! Where's Chat Noir!?" Lady Fortune heard through the screams.
"Chat Noir?" Lady Fortune scoffed. "What can he do against me? I'm more powerful than Chat Noir. "
Lady Fortune flew down from the Eiffel Tower and took the microphone from the stagehand. She went to center stage and all eyes and cameras were focused on her.
"Let this be a warning to everyone, especially Chat Noir.." Lady Fortune started, the microphone amplifying her voice. She removed her mask from her face. A few people knew who she was but the majority was clueless.
"I am Lady Fortune, you used to know me Ladybug. My civilian name is Marinette Dupein-Chang. Unlike other Akuma villains, I know what's going on. I'm awake. And I will not rest until Chat Noir is dead. So Chat, unless you want Paris to be evilized, you will come here and surrender. Paris' fate rests on your shoulders."
Lady Fortune put back on her mask and started walked away.
"Oh," she added. "and Chat, don't try fighting back. We both know your nothing compared to me. Just a sidekick."
