July 14, The Ball is here!
Adrien got out of bed late. He rushed out of the house. Worried that he'd be late, Adrien forgot to eat breakfast. However, Adrien wasn't late to school. In fact he was early. A few people were already in the classroom, including Ms. Bustier.
"Hey dude." Nino whisper yelled at Adrien.
"Why are you whispering?" Adrien whisper yelled back.
"I'm tired!" Nino whined. "I was up late last night, Alya kept going on and on about the dance. Or is it ball? I'm excited for it too, but I need my sleep!" Nino moved his backpack over so Adrien could sit down.
"Okay...Where is Alya? And Marinette?" Adrien asked while sitting down.
"I don't know. " Nino said. Nino turned around and spoke to Rose, Juleka, and Mylene. "Guys, have you seen Marinette or Alya?"
Mylene shook her head. "Sorry, I haven't."
"I haven't seen Alya, but I saw Marinette." Juleka said.
"Really? Where?" Adrien said.
"With Chloe and Alix downstairs." Juleka casually said. Evereyone turned towards her in shock. "Wait..with Chloe? Maybe I didn't see her. Don't know, sorry dude." Juleka added.
"Weird." Rose said.
"Hey guys! I'm not late, am I?" Alya said, rushing in. "Wait. Marinette's not here, "I'm good."
"She isn't with you?" Mylene asked. Alya shook her head. "No, why?" Alya asked.
Then Marinette came in. Looking guilty. Chloe, Alix, and Nathaniel stormed in a second later.. Nathaniel seemed to be angry at the girls and vice versa.
"Hey girl, what's up? You're not late for once!" Alya said. Marinette didn't say anything.
"Marinette?" Juleka asked.
"Are you okay?" Adrien, Mylene, and Rose asked in unison. Adrien waved his hand in front of Marinette's face. She finally reacted.
"Lila." Marinette said. "It's-It's all her fault. That little witch. I'm not at fault, right?"
"...What?" Everyone asked. Rose leaned in closer so the rest of the class wouldn't hear. "Does anyone knows what happened with Nathaniel, Alix, and Chloe?"
Marinette raised her hand up and lowered it, with a guilty look on her face. "Okay, spill girl." Alya demanded.
Marinette looked at each of her six friends surrounding her. "Well..."
30 minutes prior... Upstairs in the school's library.
"You should meet friends at school every morning. You'll never be late again!" Tikki giggled.
Marinette laughed along as she went up the stairs. "I wonder what Alix needs."
As Marinette tried to walk into the library, the doors wouldn't budge. "Hello?" Marinette called out.
"Marinette?" Came a voice from inside, the door opened to reveal Alix and Chloe. Alix pulled Marinette in. "Whoa! What's going on? Why are you here with Chloe? In a closed library?" Marinette suspiciously asked, eyeing Chloe.
"We're joining forces towards a common goal!" Alix said, punching her fists.
Chloe sighed. "This is not my first choice. But I needed Alix to help, and Alix thought you could help." Chloe said. The three girls sat down at the library's table.
"Well, what's wrong?" Marinette asked. Tikki eagerly listened from Marinette's pocketbook.
"Nathaniel." Chloe and Alix replied. Marinette notices how worried Chloe looked, and how angry Alix looked. "Nathaniel?" Marinette slowly echoed. "Can you explain a bit more?"
