"It worked, I didn't thro-" I was saying, when all of a sudden I spit everything back up. "No,no, no! What is happening!" I started to freak out and get really emotional. "AM I GOING TO DIE?!"

"Maya! You're not going to die okay!" Zay yelled to me.

"ZAY! I CAN'T HOLD ANY BLOOD DOWN! HOW CAN U TELL ME I'M NOT GOING TO DIE!" I screamed pinning him to the wall.

"Maya," Pappy Joe said trying to get my attention, but I was so focused with zay. "Maya!" Pappy joe yelled pulling me off of him. "I have seen this before, you're going to be fine... but..."

"But what?" All of us questioned.

"It's going to involve the Phoenixes..." Pappy Joe exclaimed. After the words left his mouth a wave of worry was on all of our faces.

PRESENT

Pappy Joe goes over to the bookshelf and takes down a journal or a book of some kind, not really sure. He sits down on the couch and turns to the middle of the book and points to the title.

"The Lympeos Disease," read Pappy Joe. "Let me tell you a little story from my past before I tell you about what it is. This is about one of my best friends in the whole world... my wife."

"Your wife? You've never told us anything about your wife before. I didn't even know you had one." I said curiously.

"It was about 280 years ago, when my wife and I lived in Virginia." He started explaining, while pulling out a picture of his wife. "We haven't met yet at this point. We both met each other one day, in a little cafe. I had just turned into a vampire a few days beforehand and was outside ripping into someone's neck, when this beautiful woman came outside." Pappy Joe was telling us.

NO POV. FLASHBACK TO 1732

"Oh what do we have here?" The mysterious, tall, broad, dark red haired woman said to Joe.

Joe got startled and looked over at the woman and dropped the body, and ran over to the woman to try and quickly compel her.

"Forget everything that you just saw" Joe tried compelling her, but it did not work.

"Why isn't it working!" Joe freaked out.

"You must be new at this" She said laughing, shaking her head. "I'm a vampire just like you darling."

"There's more people like me? I thought it was me and only two other people"

Once again the woman laughed. "Of course, there's more. There are a whole lot of us. But a lot of them like to keep hidden. Now..." she said sliding her hand seductively across Joe's back and turning around, walking over to the body. "Let me show you how this is done."

"Be my guest" Joe said to her.

The woman gently bit into the bodies neck and drank from it, then stopped.

"You have to be gentle with it. So you don't waist any. But especially so you can snatch, eat,  and erase. You don't want to kill them, because that's just, not right, and honestly just a big mess. You want them alive to keep away suspicion." She told him. "With compelling you need to be specific with what you want them to know or forget."

"Oh... thank you." He told her and she started to walk away. "Wait! I never caught your name?"

"It's Rosaline" she said walking away.

"Wait! Please don't leave! I could really use your help some more. It's been a really rough week."

"Sure, I'll help you." She said smiling at him.
