Percy

The entire room was silent as everyone took in Percy's proposal. Unsurprising it was Hermione that broke the silence. "You really think that will work?"

"Well," Annabeth started, "In theory the only thing keeping our monsters here is us. They're hardwired to hunt demigods, not wizards. If we were to leave they should follow us but that mean cancelling this initiative. Considering this experiment was set by your government and our parents the gods I don't know if they'll agree and let us leave. Though if I am in fact right then there should be no cooperation between our two worlds at all if we want to keep our worlds safe from each other's evils."

"I thought this entire thing was about the fact we would be stronger together", Ron interjected.

Percy shared a look with Annabeth, "Yah but combining worlds usually causes trouble, like when we joined forces with the Romans or when Annabeth and I started to hang out with magicians from Egypt. It means bigger fights and stronger enemies".

Hermione looked at them, "Are you saying that Roman Gods and Egyptian Gods are real now too!"

Percy shrugged, "It's a big world."

Several hours later...

Percy and Annabeth waved their friends goodbye and made to walk to the direction of the lake. Jason, Grover, Nico, and Thalia gave short tired waves before slogging back to the little house while Piper paused gave them a sly smile and winked before running to grab Jason's hand.

Percy gave a sideways look at Annabeth, "I think Piper thinks were going out to do something Coach hedge would ground us over,"

Annabeth scoffed, "After everything we've been through, including Tartarus, I'm surprised people still think us taking a walk is scandalous or that they can ground us."

"Don't tell that to my mother, she likes you"

They reached the edge of the lake of Hogwarts grounds, "What do you think about this whole situation?" Annabeth asked sitting down and looking out into the lake.

"I'm not sure about this whole two different species of monsters. Though the more I think about it the more it does make sense." He sat down next to Annabeth and gestured towards the lake, "I went for a swim the other day most of the creatures in there I could understand but it was like they had no idea who I was or if they did they didn't care. There is this giant squid that's been trapped in the lake for thousands of years he remembers the gods so maybe somewhere down the line monsters diverged into two groups the ones that still hunted demigods and the ones of the wizarding world." Percy tilted his head to the side still thoughtful, "Or maybe there was always two different races of monsters"

Annabeth was staring at Percy a little open mouthed, "That was actually pretty smart Seaweed brain,"

Percy gently pushed Annabeth, "Don't underestimate me"

Percy and Annabeth sat at the lake and talked for what may have been only several minutes or hours, they couldn't have cared less. They talked and talked until the sun started to rise over the lake.

Once there was enough light Percy stood brushing his pants off as he did. He helped Annabeth to her feet, "Shall we". Annabeth nodded at her boyfriend. Percy simply lifted one hand and a wall of mist rose from the lake making a rainbow. Annabeth took a coin from her pocket and threw the drachmae into the rainbow while Percy said, "O Fleecy, do me a solid. Show Chiron"

It took a couple moments for Chiron to come into focus but when he did he was sitting on what appeared to be a couch in the big house with a pair of headphones on. Percy couldn't quite hear what his old mentor was listening to but it sounded as awful through the headphones as it did against the Stymphalian birds. It took awhile for Annabeth and Percy to get Chiron's attention since he was pre-occupied with his music but Percy thought it was worth the look on the Centaurs face when they finally did.

The conversation was not a very long one where Annabeth explained the events of the night and the resulting conclusions she and everyone else had made. Chiron looked worried when Annabeth told him about the monsters in the forest and at the possibility that they could possibly attack Hogwarts now. In the end, he reminded them to be careful and that they were to stay at the wizarding school for now, while he contacted the gods and informed the camp counsellors of the situation.

When the call ended, it was a little past dawn and while they could tell that most of the school was still asleep it would only be a couple more hours before everyone headed off for breakfast and their first classes of the day. Together hand in hand Percy and Annabeth headed off to join their friends.
