Chapter 23- The Final Effort

Percy couldn't believe that Nico had made it. Part of him thought that he must have hit his head when Blackjack had plucked him out of the sky. The black-haired teen was riding Ms. O'leary Percy's Hellhound, and behind the young man was yet another group of demigods. There was a group of kids with staffs and a curious number of penguins and a gryphon. Another group of the most peculiar group of people and this was coming from Percy, led by a blond haired young man, and girl wearing a hijab by his side, as well as another demigod wearing pink and green. The final two groups were completely made up of women one group dressed in silver parkas and with bows in hand and the other much larger group wielding all manure of tools and weapons; including forklifts.

Weeks ago, Percy had given Nico the Eye of Horus hieroglyph that had been given to him by Carter Kane as well as instructions on some other friends to go to for help. Percy could still clearly see the incredulous look Nico gave him when he was told that there were Egyptian magicians and Norse Demigods in the world. He was mildly annoyed that both Percy and Annabeth had kept the information a secret; until Percy had pointed out the fact that Nico had kept the Romans a secret from everyone for years as well.

Blackjack and Firewind banked with the other Pegasi circling around the large of the battlefield. From this position, Percy could clearly see the Primordial Goddess of night, who had curiously remained in the middle of her army throughout most of the battle. Her shadows covered a large portion of her army and crept over the ground like smoke. As Percy stared at her, she looked up at him in the sky a frown on her beautiful, shadow wreathed face.

"Where to Now Boss", Blackjack neighed waiting for instruction.

"Down there" Percy gestured toward the reinforcements. Blackjack and the other Pegasi circled once more before making their way towards the demigods. "Perfect timing," he told Nico as he hopped off Blackjack's back while Nico jumped off Percy's Hellhound. To the rest of his friends, he expressed his thanks.

"Any time," said Carter shaking his hand, "What's the game plan?"

"Ugh right now, survive", this earned some groans from some of the reinforcements as wells as some laughs from Sadie, Alex and a couple others.

"How about we take our forklifts and drive them back from the castle?" suggested Queen Hylla.

"And the rest of us will join the others" Nico added. Cater Kane and Magnus Chase nodded. Soon the entire mass of Demigods, female warriors, magicians, Valhalla fighters, and other mythical people were charging across the field.

Letting the others join the fray Percy led a portion of the reinforcements to where he saw Annabeth and some of his other friends; Harry, Ron Hermione, Jason, Piper, Grover, Leo, Frank, and Hazel. When Annabeth saw him, she gave him a big hug followed by another one for her cousin. Nico also gave a quick embrace to Will Solace his boyfriend who had emerged from the crowd. Looking for a place to talk Percy led them to a broom shed to the side of the Quidditch pitch.

"Everyone this is Carter and Sadie Kane, they're Magicians that follow the Gods of Ancient Egypt and were the hosts for Horus and Isis and this is Magnus Chase the Son of the Norse God Frey and his friend Alex Fierro and Sam al-Abbas children of Loki".

Jason spoke first addressing Magnus and shaking his hand, "are you related to Annabeth?" he asked.

Magnus nodded, "Where cousins"

"And you're also a demigod?" asked Piper.

"Yep, son of Frey. Though I had no idea about that until a Fire Giant killed me." He said casually.
