Chapter 22- Swords, Fangs, and Wands

Before this school year Harry was at a point in his life where he was sure that he had seen everything; but boy were these demigods proving him wrong. So far today his school was under siege by a bunch of Ancient Greek monster's lead by a goddess herself. He also watched Percy lift an entire lake with magic and create a dome that covered a castle, and now there were a dozen flying Trireme's floating above him.

A teenage boy with curly brown hair was leaning over the side of the lead boat, one with a metal dragon head. The entire invading army was at a stand-still all the monsters had paused their assault on the castle and were staring up at the warships. The boy was grinning and waving a flaming hand at Harry and the others. Percy was laughing beside Harry waving his sword back at the ships. "Who are they?" asked Harry, "other demigods?"

"Yah they are," Percy pointed towards two flags that were flying off the mast of the ship, "Greek and Roman demigods. They all came to help." They watched as the boy, with the flaming hand and curly brown hair, gave an order and his boat was lowered to the ground near the Whomping Willow and the group.

Once the boat touched the ground the boy jumped over the side and shouted, "Ta-Da!" as his feet touched the ground. Annabeth and Percy had slight smiles on their faces and walked forward to give the other demigod a giant hug, while Harry could only stay frozen in place. He had no idea how to respond to anything that was happening.

"You're a little late Leo," said Percy stepping back from the demigod, Leo.

"Pssh," Leo waved Percy's comment away, "You know how long it takes to fly a wooden ship across the Atlantic?"

"Actually yes, we've done it before not even a year ago,"

"Oh right," Leo dusted off his orange T-shirt and jeans, "that seems like such a long time ago. You'd never believe what's happening now with Apollo."

"Huh," Percy seemed confused, "Is he here?"

"Nah, he's got his own problems to deal with at the moment; Oracles, giant snake, end of the world, etcetera you know."

Ginny put up a hand, "Guys, I'm sure that's all really important but shouldn't we be more worried about are the end of the world crisis at this moment".

Annabeth nodded and a woman's voice shouted from this ship Leo had landed, "seconded".

Leo and Percy looked around at the army that still surrounded them, obviously waiting for an order to begin their attack again. "Oh right," Percy said. Annabeth just shook her head.

A darkness started to spread out from the surrounding army. Dark mist and rolling shadows that started in the middle of the enemy force between the castle and the Whomping Willow. It crept towards them like a dark force that seeks to swallow up all the happiness in the world. The creeping darkness seemed to be the cue that the monsters were waiting for, as a rumble went throughout the army and a couple brave monsters started to make their way forward.

"Get on the Argo II," Leo motioned them toward the ship. Harry and the others sprinted towards the ship as monsters started to run towards them. Archers appeared at the side of the ship and started to shower the enemy with arrows made of what appeared to be the same type of bronze coloured metal as the sword Percy carried. The blond archers kept the monsters at bay while Percy and Annabeth leapt on board and started to help Harry, Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Luna, Seamus, and Dean on board.

The boat reminded Harry of the ship that carried the Durmstang students in his fourth year, large, wooden, and old school. Though he noted the ship style was different. For one there was a great number of weapons just laying around. Barrels of arrows and bows. Swords and daggers covered the deck like someone had unceremoniously carried them onboard and simply dumped them wherever they saw space. Another difference was the fact that this ship carried teenagers with orange and purple t-shirts with mismatched armour on several of them the words Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter very clear on several students while breastplates covered the words on others. Several kids came up with a whoop, clapping Percy and Annabeth on the back.
