It Was Always You

Chapter 13: Am I Happy?

It's been a couple of months, and I've already started school. It's been a pain, but luckily I have Sunggyu in some of my classes to help me along the way. And I am proud to say that I actually have my first official boyfriend. Although there are times where I still think of Aaron, my heart still hearts sometimes, but with Sunggyu I feel happy. I think. With Aaron, although there was no hesitation, I knew that I loved him, but with Sunggyu it's different. With Sunggyu, there is no hesitation but I don't know if my feelings for him are true. Maybe this is the universe saying that I'm not allowed to be happy with him. I was broken out of my thoughts when my professor called my name.

"(Y/N), do you have anything that you want to add?"

I stared confused, "Mianhae seonsaengnim, I wasn't paying attention."

"As one of my brightest first-year students, I would think that you would pay attention more," he shook his head.

I sighed tiredly, "Ne seonsaengnim."

The class began to come to an end, and I exited with an another sigh. Noticing a familiar face, I smiled.

"Well, what do I owe the pleasure of this great visit," I laughed. "I thought you had class right now?"

Sunggyu smiled, "It got canceled so I thought I'd surprise you."

He held out his hand, and I gladly took it. We talked and walked until we got to our apartment complex.

I squeezed his hand, "Do you still have class later tonight?"

"Yeah, unfortunately, but I was thinking that until then how about a movie and some take out?"

I smiled, "Well that sounds like a plan to me."

We headed up to his place, once we got there I made myself at home like I have been for the past few months. We've been over at each others' apartments so many times, so much of my stuff is in his apartment, and so much of his is in mine. I went to his movie box and started to search for a movie to watch.

"So what are you in the mood for, horror, action?" I giggled, "A chick-flick?"

Sunggyu snorted, "Action! I think I have Ironman in there somewhere in there."

"You do!" I say pulling the movie out of the box, "So, Ironman then?"

"Ha, sure, why not," he shrugged.

Smiling I put the movie into the player and went to grab the remote, "You gonna make popcorn?"

The microwave dinged, "Already did."

My smile grew as we sat close together on the couch, his arm over my shoulders, as I snuggle into his side, with the popcorn on his lap. There was a slight pain in my chest though. Is this happiness for me? I took the remote and pressed play as I grabbed the popcorn and stuffed it in my mouth. Sunggyu chuckled at my mouth full of popcorn, before starting to watch the movie. I sighed and tried to relax, but the second I did my eyes began to drift. I soon fell asleep. By the time I woke up it was around 8 pm. I noticed I was laying on the couch with a blanket covering me. Sunggyu must have gone to class by now. I got up and stretched when I noticed a note on the coffee table in front of me.

I read it aloud, "To my dearest (Y/N), I'll be back after class, the take out is in the fridge if you're hungry, and I hope you know that I love you very much. Be back later! XX."

I laughed at the cheesiness of the note, and went to the fridge and grabbed the take out smiling. I smiled, but frowned as a thought crossed my mind, am I happy like this?  

Before I could do anything with my take out my phone rang, the caller ID reading Dorky Brother. I sighed and picked up.

"Hey Ren, what's up?"

"Nothing much, just my daily check-in. How are you doing?"

I sighed, "Honestly?"

"Yeah, honestly."

"I feel fine, just wondering if I've finally got a chance at being happy."

He sighed heavily on the other end, "Hey, listen, I know things didn't end so well with Aaron but I think that you have a real shot with this guy Sunggyu. I think that you can finally be happy. And I don't mean that you weren't happy with me and the guys, but I mean really happy. Make a life, and whatever."

A small smile appeared on my face, "Thanks, Ren, you always know what to say."

There's mumbling in the background, "Alright I have to go, I have to get to my club meeting. I'll talk to you later! Love you!"

"Love you too, good luck!"

The click came and I stared down at my phone. Yeah, I can be happy.
