Today was the day. It's finally my first day as a music producer, or at least at as an assistant. Before moving back I was applying to a lot of the music companies, and just after a week of being back, I got an email from Pledis entertainment saying that the have accepted my application, but the position is for an assistant for the main producers at the company. That's okay though! In my heart I know that I can make a huge difference in as just an assistant.

I glanced at the clock, it was only 6:30 a.m. and I had to be in at 7. I checked that I was properly ready, dressed in a white blouse and fitted jeans, with heels. I grabbed my purse, my new employee badge, and my keys. I headed out and hurried to the car. Once on the road, I grew nervous. What if I make a fool on my first day? My brows furrowed at the thought. What if I say something out of turn? I shook my head, and took a deep breath.

Upon arriving, I rushed a little to park and get inside, so that I didn't miss anything important on my first day. Once entering the building I was met by a surprising sight. I saw all of my friends talking to a man. They were dressed casually in workout clothes. I walked towards them, but was stopped by an assistant shortly after.

"Excuse me miss, you wouldn't happen to be the new assistant producer would you?" She looked at me a bit flustered, "I was sent down to find her and guide her to her office, and I'm quite new myself so I wasn't sure..."

As her voice drifted softly in the end I giggled at how cute she was. "Yes I am. (L/N) (Y/N)-ibnida!"

"Ah, ne, Lee Aera-ibnida!"

We both bowed and then laughed at our awkwardness. She lead me to my office on the 3rd floor where most of the recording studios are.

"Aera-ssi, since we're both new, how about being friends here?"

She flushed cutely, "I-I'd like that, it would be nice to be friends with you (Y/N)-ssi."

"Well in that case just call me (Y/N)!" I smiled brightly, which in turn made her smile brightly.

"Ne!"

She left me in my office soon after. I giggled at the thought of my first friend in the workplace, and it was only my first day. I was soon broken out of my daze by a clearing of a man's throat.

"You must be (Y/N)-ssi?" The man asked.

"Ne," I bowed.

"The name's Jeon Hyungmin, and I'll be your supervisor from this moment forth. You will be helping me and the other producers when they get stuck or need an outside perspective for songs. Got it? Now come with me, I'll introduce you to everyone, and show you around the studio."

"Ne sajangnim!"

He showed me around the studios first, introducing me to any and all that were in there when we were going around. Eventually, he lead me back to my office. It was actually kind of nice, not like a corner fancy office or anything, but big enough to move around in. He then showed be the big bulletin board in my office.

"This is what you need to pay attention to. Producers are here even when you are not. So, every time you come in, and before you leave make sure to check this board. It will hold the tasks the other producers would like you to do, or need help with. Make sure that by the time you leave everyday, the board is cleared. You'll be officially asked to do tasks tomorrow, so feel free to hang about or go home, your choice."

He walked off, and I sighed. Might as well explore, this might be my only chance to do so! I smiled to myself and then headed to explore the other floors. The majority of them were empty conference rooms, the top floor I assumed was for the CEO, so I didn't go up there. The bottom two floors were dance practice rooms I came to find. I sighed, I wonder if I actually saw them...? I guess I should head home now, not much to do here today. I was walking out of the building when I ran straight it someone all too familiar.

"(Y/N)-ah?" Aaron sounded surprised.

I looked to the side and was silent, making Aaron's eyes darken in sadness.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I asked softly, and sighed. "I'm a new assistant producer here, I started today."

"I see..."

A couple beats of silence came before I asked, "And you?"

"Didn't Ren tell you?"

I looked up at Ren's name, "Tell me what?"

He sighed, "We're trainees under Pledis, we plan to debut soon."

My eyes widen. That means I'll be working with him if need be....

"He really didn't tell you did he?"

I shook my head, but at that moment something seemed to click in Aaron's mind. I saw it in his eyes, as they brightened up. He realized what I realized. Fuck.

"Look (Y/N)-ah the guys are waiting for me for practice, but I'll see you around," he exclaimed while smiling.

I don't know what came over me, it was like an automatic reaction to his smile, but him saying that made me nod and smile in return. I couldn't actually be happy about his happiness right now, could I??? Snap out of it (Y/N)! I quickly frowned after realizing my actions, and turned right around and headed to my car. I immediately started heading back to the apartment. Nothing in mind but the way he seemed to be so happy when he thought about us working together. Maybe, just maybe this friendship can be saved....

Once at home, it was afternoon, and I was greeted with sweet singing in the kitchen, which had me smiling even more. Sunggyu. I walked into the kitchen and wrapped my arms around his torso, as he smiled and continue making lunch, while his voice flowed throughout the kitchen. He's my home now, nothing Aaron can do will take that away. Being friends won't hurt me. I guess maybe today wasn't so bad after all. I smiled into Sunggyu's back content.
