Sunggyu and I moved into our new place with ease. All of our stuff was already out and ready to be placed properly in our new home. I looked around the apartment and really thought about how this was going to be my new home, and maybe where I'll start a new family....though that's thinking really far ahead. The four years I've been with Sunggyu has been like a dream, he seems to have been the perfect man that so coincidentally fell into my life. I just can't help but to think that something should be different....That the way things happened were just so convenient. I looked over to Sunggyu who was trying to set up the t.v. Is this just convenient for me?
A couple hours of setting things up, we decided to take a break. Sunggyu looked really exhausted, so I suggested a nap on the newly made bed we first put together. He smiled at me and held out his hand for me to take. Smiling back I gladly took it, letting him pull me to our room. It's not we haven't slept on the same bed together, but this time somehow feels different. We laid next to each other facing one another. Sunggyu smiled tiredly at me, as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me into his chest gently. I smiled content, as I saw his eyes close, and his breathing relaxing into soft breaths. I closed my eyes, soon falling asleep to the warmth that he provided.
I was soon awoken by the sound of my phone ringing. I glanced up at Sunggyu who was still sound asleep not bothered at all by the sound. He looks so peaceful. I slowly removed his arm from around my waist and quietly got out of bed. Looking once more at him, I smile. I walk towards the sound of my phone ringing. I quickly answered it so not to wake up Sunggyu.
"Yobeoseyo?"
"...(Y/N)-ah?"
Knowing the voice immediately, I grew sad, "How did you get my number, Aaron?"
"Ah...Ren gave me your new one..."
"I see...Did you need something?"
"Can we meet right now?"
I side glanced the bedroom with a still sleeping Sunggyu inside, and sighed, "...Yes..."
There soon came an audible knock at the door. Phone still pressed to my ear I walked and answered it. Standing at the door was Aaron, smiling sadly, as he soon hung up the phone.
He spoke first, "Ren gave me the address..."
Aish, that boy... Looking back behind me to a still sleeping Sunggyu, I stepped out and shut the door behind me.
I looked at Aaron, "Let's take a walk?"
He nodded, and followed me out as I walked out of the apartment building. I started walking to the nearby park I had discovered upon moving in. I went to the swings and sat, slowly moving back and forth, as Aaron sat on the one beside me, sitting still. It was quiet for awhile, as I just swung on the swing. Aaron soon sighed and stopped my swing, abruptly. I slowly looked at him and our eyes met. We just stared, until Aaron cleared his throat and looked down.
"(Y/N)-ah...I...I'm-"
"I'm gonna stop you there Aaron," I looked towards the ground as well, "I don't need your apologies...that's just gonna make things worse. Let's just forget everything."
"Everything, huh?" The bitterness in his voice evident.
I looked at him, and could see that his slight bangs had fallen in front of his eyes. But they weren't long enough to hide his wet sparkling eyes.
I sucked in a breath, "L-Let's just leave the past behind, move on....from each other. We were nothing more than friends, I-I know that now. I don't want to dwell on those feelings anymore, and I don't want you to either. S-So let's just stop..."
"You want me to stop?" He bitterly laughed as his hand finally released my swing.
I couldn't look him in the eye, as he continued to speak, "You never once left my mind after knowing that I hurt you so deeply. I always wondered if you were just as miserable as I was. But when you came back looking as if nothing had ever happened, with a fiance with that matter! I just...it just hurt. It hurt knowing that you were happy without me in your life, when we shared so much with each other growing up. It hurt knowing that I was no longer the source of your comfort and happiness."
As he said this I snuck glances at his now tear stained face, as my heart sped up at his words. I don't understand why he's like this, he never loved me like that....so why?
"(Y-Y/N)-ah, you were so important to me, ani, you are important to me, so," He choked out a sob, "So I can't stop, and I won't forget..."
"A-aron..." I was at a loss for words, and I was more confused than ever, by what he was telling me.
He soon got off the swings and fell to his knees before me, "(Y/N)-ah, forgive me, I need you in my life...please."
My eyes widen at his begging state, as tears fell freely from his eyes. Seeing and hearing all of this, my own eyes began to water.
Quietly I asked, "What am I to you?"
He froze at the question. He doesn't know... I looked right at him, as I stood from my swing. He hung his head low, and I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat.
"If you don't even know that, then I can never be in your life." I finalized, holding back my tears.
He said nothing, and I only nodded my head at his silence, smiling sadly. Just as I did the night before, I left him in his own state of thought. I walked back to my apartment soon after. Upon opening the door, I saw Sunggyu worriedly on the couch. As soon as he saw me, although I knew he was angry at me for making him worried, I couldn't help but to let all my tears out at that moment. His features softened, as he just came and embraced me, without asking any questions. He soon picked me up and carried me to our bedroom, where we just laid down. He just held me, in comfort. I started to calm down as I soon fell asleep in his arms once again.
