I tapped my foot impatiently on the hallway floor. We had seen Liv, Bonnie and her hunter boyfriend enter the dorms a little while ago, and followed them. They had gone into one of the rooms, presumably to do magic and now we had no choice but to wait."What's taking them so long?" I groaned. I was missing my powers more and more with every passing situation where I could have used them. I felt blind and frustrated.
Eventually the door opened, and the trio froze when they saw us standing outside.
"We want to help," AJ stated.
"You're the girl from the Bitter Ball," Bonnie said slowly.
"You're her twin?" Liv asked, giving me an odd look.
"We're vampire hunters, and like we said; we want to help," I cut them off from saying anything else.
"We don't need your help," Liv answered and Bonnie gave her a look.
"She means right now we're good, but we'll let you know if something comes up," the hunter said kindly. I felt my heart sink, of course they wouldn't trust us right away.
"I don't believe we've met, you are?" AJ said sweetly and I stifled a laugh as I noticed Bonnie roll her eyes.
"Jeremy Gilbert," he answered, taken aback. Liv chuckled.
"Get in line," she snorted at AJ.

Kol's POV
It would be a lie to say I wasn't enjoying tormenting the girl, and while I hand't found anything suggesting the girl was more than human, even humans could be fun.
The problem was they didn't tend to stay fun, and I ended up having to kill them...but until that happened it would be entertaining to play with the girl.
As I walked around Whitmore campus I absent mindedly listened to the chatter of those around me. I caught a few conversations about studies, a few about new diets and gym sessions, and even one about a 'hot' new professor.
It was only when I passed a coffee shop that I heard something of interest.
Her voice rang through my ears, she was inside speaking to someone.
"We just have to give them time, they're our only real shot at protection," she chimed.
I wanted to laugh, they were obviously seeking protection from me through Elena and her friends.
I walked closer to the wall separating us, debating leaning against it to hear more. Ultimately I decided to just go inside instead, to provoke a real reaction from her.
The coffee shop was completely empty save for the two figures in the booth in the corner.
I smirked as I walked towards them.
Nevada's POV
"What's this I hear about protection, certainly that wouldn't be from me would it, Darling?" came a new voice, I turned to see Kol smirking as he slid into the booth next to me.
"Kol, what are you doing here?" I glared at him, moving away slightly to create space between us.
"I'm here to see you," he said, winking at me and placing his elbow on the table.
"Well you've seen her, now you can go," my sister spat at him before I could answer. Kol rolled his eyes and turned to face her.
"No, actually you can go," he said, looking her in the eye with a certain intensity to his voice. I realized he was trying to compel her, meaning he certainly didn't know we were witches.
Shooting me a look, AJ slid out of the booth in an attempt to protect our cover as humans.
"I guess you lot can be compelled," he said with satisfaction.
"No more beating around the bush, tell me who and what you are," he said looking into my eyes. I assumed a blank look and answered in the most monotone voice I could muster.
"Nevada Deshayes, I'm a human girl born in Mystic Falls but I live in Orlando, I moved here after my Dad was killed by a vampire," I answered. I hoped all those years of living with my cousins has taught me how to tell a decent lie.
"How did you know it was a vampire?" he fired.
"My dad was training my brother, he recognized the signs of an attack," I said thinking quickly.
"Explain why you're not on vervain if you know about vampires?" he questioned.
"My brother gave me a bracelet but I lost it," I mumbled, wishing I could think of a more sustainable reason.
"Why not get a new one?" he leaned back.
"I wasn't planning on getting involved with your kind again," I hissed.
"My kind? Ouch, that one hurt, Darling," he chuckled.
"Now for one last test to see if all of this is true and you really can be compelled," he said leaning towards me again, his eyes turning dark.
"I'm going to feed on you now and you aren't going to fight me at all, you'll even enjoy it," he breathed.
I felt my eyes widen, he moved slowly closer and leaned in even further, bringing his lips to my neck. He sucked on the spot lightly before I felt his teeth break the skin.
I gasped and brought my hands to his chest, but fought the urge to push him off, telling myself he wouldn't kill me now and if I pushed him off he would know I couldn't be compelled and his game would be over.
So instead I grasped his shirt tighly in balled fists and shut my eyes. Shivering at his touch.
My thoughts clouded over as he pulled me impossibly closer, his hand snaking around my waist. All I could process was him, nothing else around me was comprehensible.
Some part of me was screaming at me to make him stop and another part was begging for him to continue.
As he raised his head from my neck I let out a breath I didn't even know I had been holding in. Kol bit into his wrist and brought it my lips.
"To heal you," he said simply.
I took his wrist and started to drink, thrown slightly by the gesture.
When I felt better I slowly lowered his wrist, only for him to bring his hand to my face and cup it.
"Forget this ever happened," he said in a raspy voice.
When I blinked he was gone, and I still remembered everything
