AJ was waiting for me outside of the dorm building, and when she saw me coming she practically tackled me."What did he want?" she asked, rushed.
"He compelled me to tell him my story," I answered simply, walking past her as I did.
"What did you tell him?" she frowned, following me.
"My fake story," I answered shortly.
"Are you ok 'Vada...truthfully?" she asked, worried. I smiled at her, trying to reassure her despite the fact that my head was spinning. Before I could offer up words of comfort to her though, my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered cautiously.
"Nevada, this is Caroline Forbes, I'm a friend of Bonnies," a feminine voice answered and I nodded my head.
"Yeah, I think I've heard of you," I bit back a laugh.
"Well it turns out we do need your help, Stefan and I are meeting up with a vampire named Enzo tomorrow to discuss some things and we could use some backup just in case," she said and my eyes brightened.

I trailed my hand over the abandoned train carts as I walked through the maze of old junked trains.
"You're sure this is where they are?" AJ asked as I looked around at the containers surrounding me.
"Pretty sure," I answered as she peered around for sign of them.
Then I heard voices on the other side of a nearby train cart. I crept forward and saw a man through one of the slits. I gestured for AJ to be quiet and we slowly moved along the carts with them - in the opposite direction of where we had been going.
"So why are you in town mate?" the man asked someone hidden from my view.
"Just trying to solve a little mystery," the person answered and I wanted to groan. Of course Kol would be here.
"I'm trying to find out about the Deshayes girl," he continued, shifting into my view, he leaned against the cart behind him.
"Which one? I hear there's two of them; much like everyone else in this bloody town," the first man laughed. I frowned, piecing together that he must be the vampire Caroline was meeting...Enzo.
"Nevada," Kol clarified, a smirk playing on his lips.
"From what I hear, her father was a vampire hunter, what more do you want to know?" Enzo asked as he continued forward, Kol following. I started to walk after them but my sister grabbed my arm to stop me.
"We need to meet Caroline," she whispered as softly as she could. I blinked for a moment before nodding at her.
"You go, I'll catch up," I whispered. She shook her head at me.
"I want to find out if he has a plan yet," I argued softly. Looking torn, she finally nodded and turned away in our original direction.
I quickly hurried to keep up with the pair, straining to hear their voices. As I moved forward I became more and more on edge, I couldn't hear them at all. I got down on my knees to peer under the cart and see their feet at least, but I couldn't spot them anywhere.
"What the hell?" I whispered to myself before standing up and turning around, bumping into something solid as I did.
I looked up to see Kol smirking at me.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" I heard Enzo mutter, but I kept my eyes trained in front of me.
"You really thought we couldn't hear you following us?" Kol chuckled, I indignantly tried to push past him.
"Hold on, Darling, you were just looking for us and now you want to leave? Stay a while," he said with fake sweetness, caging me in on either side against the train behind me.
"Kol, mate, I need to go meet Caroline and Stefan, mind handling this on your own?" Enzo called out and Kol waved him away.
My heart started racing as I realized I was once again alone with him, and tried again to walk away.
"I was hoping we could chat," he stopped me again and I groaned out loud.
"No thanks," I rolled my eyes and finally pushed past him, trying to see where Enzo had gone.
I was aware that Kol was following behind me and I tried not to look as lost as I felt, but as time passed I realized I had no idea where I was going....and how cold it was.
"If you insist on keeping this up, the least you can do is stop your teeth from chattering," his annoyed voice rang out behind me. I didn't say anything and instead kept walking, shivering slightly.
"Oh for the love of- here," he snapped and I felt him drape his jacket over my shoulders, I frowned but accepted hesitantly.
"How gentlemanly," I said sarcastically.
"Actually, I was quite the gentleman in the 1900's," he folded his arms.
"I'm sure you were the epitome of sophistication and grace," I muttered, I walked a few more steps before sighing as I realized walking in circles wasn't going to help. I sunk down next to a nearby train cart.
"Giving up so soon? I took you for a fighter," Kol laughed.
"I'm not fighting the damn trains, Mikaelson," I snapped.
He froze for a moment, giving me a disbelieving look.
"Watch your tone," he said, sounding surprised.
"I'm cold and tired, you watch your tone," I whispered to myself. I flinched as Kol walked closer and crouched down directly in front of me, his arms on either side of my head. He looked at me searchingly for a few seconds.
"If you weren't so pretty, you would be dead by now," he narrowed his eyes at me before straightening up. He started to walk away.
I felt heat rush to my cheeks and I narrowed my eyes as I scrambled to my feet. I threw my shoulders back, determined to fight back.
I muttered an incantation and flicked my wrist, moving a stone slightly into his path. As I expected he tripped over it and I smiled. He was back on his feet in a matter of seconds and then in front of me faster than I could blink.
He grabbed my wrist and glared at me, holding it up accusingly.
"You're a witch," he exclaimed and I sneered at him.
"I'm human, you just don't know how to walk," I spat. He shook his head and turned to walk away, towing me behind him.
"Where are we going?" I demanded.
"I've had enough of your games, you're coming with me and staying with me until I know the truth," he growled.
"My sister-" I started but he interrupted me, spinning around and pulling me into his chest.
"I am not afraid of your sister, and I am not afraid of those you sought to protect you, Elena and her band of misfits are too preoccupied with their own troubles, you're mine now," he breathed.
