A few months later Harley is at the market, grabbing a few necessities for the house and maybe a toy for Jack. Okay, definitely a toy for Jack. Her and Dom had frequently been visiting the O'Connor home to see the family, Jack was already getting bigger and bigger every time they saw him. It was the first time they were going down to the house in a week or so though. Why? Illness had entered their home...because of Harley cooking again and they didn't want their nephew getting ill. Harley had gotten sick first, practically bed ridden and starving herself because she could keep anything down. Eventually, Dom ended up feeling the same way even if he did overcome it sooner. She blames it on the tough Toretto genes. Come to think of it, she'd rarely even seen Mia sick or Mr Toretto when he was around. Something she envied.

"¡Que tengas un buen día!" Harley smiles at the stall owner, wishing her a good day (kinda used google translate because I sadly don't speak Spanish. Only some French haha). The blonde shifts, adjusting her hold on the bags and heading back in the direction of the home; she only briefly stops when she receives a text from Mia. It takes a second for her to respond, telling her sister she'll see her later on today.

It's early in the morning and she's pretty sure Dom'll still be asleep but she needed some fresh air and she left a note for him so he didn't panic and dash out on the search for her. When they first moved in, she'd gone for a walk in the middle of the night and when  she returned, he'd called Brian to the house, both of them getting their cars ready. It was something they laughed at now but it was perfectly understandable at the time. Tensions were still running high after Hobbs and Reyes so he'd panicked when she suddenly wasn't there.

The regular sound of Harley's heels hitting off the cobblestone path, falters as she gets close to the front door of the Toretto home. She stands stiff in the middle of the road, turning on the spot to see if she'd been imagining things. Though her heart stops momentarily when she sees an unfamiliar but familiar car sat in front of her, opposite cars belonging to Dom and Harley. A black truck. Expensive. Bulky. Unmarked. Military. The woman gulps, fishing her keys out of her pocket and rushing inside, dropping the bags by the door and grabbing a gun they kept in the draw.

She cautiously ascends the steps to the balcony leading out from the room she shares with Dom, gripping the weapon tightly. They were untouchable here. So whatever cop had waltzed on in can go and waltz on out again; there's no extradition here. Her blue eyes widen at the sight of Hobbs standing there and talking to her husband. Dom doesn't look worried in the slightest but it doesn't stop Harley from jumping into action, angry for the cop showing up like he has a right.

"You're not gonna need that, Mrs Toretto." Hobbs says when she steps into the open, making Dom look over with a raised eyebrow. She wasn't normally one for going straight to the weapons.

"What do you want? You can't touch us here, Hobbs." She reminds him, lowering the weapon slightly.

"Last Tuesday, a team of highly coordinated drivers took down an entire military convoy in Russia." Hobbs tells the couple, the pair sharing a look of confusion as Harley walks closer to the men. They have near enough all they've ever wanted now, they'd have no reason to go into another job like that again. Especially messing with the military. It's bound to get nasty.

"I don't do cold weather." Dom shrugs, looking over at the cop.

"Oh I know it wasn't you. But you're gonna help me catch the team responsible." Harley quirks a brow at his confidence. Was he on something? Coming to their home all cock sure that he'd get them to help him when they've finally gotten out of the game?
