Harley had gotten home late last night but she still arrived earlier than Han had. He left a message saying they were at some party and she reminded him Sean needed to go home, not everyone could afford to be as relaxed as them. She tried to sleep but she just couldn't. Instead, she'd just sat in bed, looking through her camera roll, reliving memories and looking back fondly at times where things weren't complicated. Obviously she's happy right now, mostly, because she has the life she's always wanted. But now Deckard had reappeared, saying he wasn't going back on what he said.
He swore to her he came to Tokyo to see her for the most part, that and he had other business to attend to. She had to take his word for it. There was just a feeling though, a gnawing in the back of her mind that something bad was going to happen, something that was beyond her control. The only thing providing her with comfort was the fact that she's going home in a few days.
Now, however, she was currently stood with Sean and Han watching the city below. Twinkie and everyone were all playing soccer below them, calling up now and then for opinions. As if they could really referee. Harley had seen Han's garage too and she had to admit she was impressed, a little jealous even. It brought her back to the days where all of them would gather in the garage of the Toretto home, enjoying their somewhat relaxed life. Their biggest concern was getting car parts and keeping the shop running. The blonde would often work shifts with Mia when necessary, meaning she'd been one of the first to meet Brian, watching carefully while he flirted with her sister.
"So how'd you end up over here anyway?" Sean suddenly asks Han, resting his arms on the metal railing in front of him. Harley glances at the dark haired man, wondering if she should intervene. Bringing up Gisele could still be too painful for him.
"You know those old Westerns, where the cowboys make a run for the border?" Han asks, making the blonde beside him smile slightly. Sean nods, looking partially confused but also amused. Harley had never thought of it like that, they were the cowboys or at least they used to be. Hobbs had them exonerated thankfully, otherwise they'd probably still be in Spain or something.
"This is my Mexico." He says, glancing across the city's skyline."Why did you let me race with your car? You knew I was gonna wreck it." Sean points out.
"Why not?" Han shrugs.
"Cause it's a lot of money." Sean retorts incredulously.
"Oh, he can afford it." Harley pipes up, resting her back on the railing to look at the duo beside her, a smile on her face.
"I have money. It's trust and character I need around me. Who you choose to be around you lets you know who you really are." Han explains, his words sinking in with both Sean and Harley. She shifts, turning to look at the city again, her mind back on Deckard momentarily. She still chooses to be around him when she can. What does that say about her? Or is it different because he's her blood?
"One car in exchange for knowing what a man's made of - that's a price I can live with." He adds on.
