The couple had driven as far as possible before stopping for gas and sleep; they didn't know exactly where they'd be going. All they knew is that they were going somewhere with no extradition for a while to lay low. When Vince gave them the call about Brian and Mia arriving safely then they'd follow a little later. In the meantime, they could have time to themselves and Harley couldn't keep her mind of a certain topic. Once they walked into their cheap hotel room, she dropped her bag beside the bed and threw herself down with a sigh. She just felt so tense.

"You okay?" Dom asks her, making the bed dip when he takes a seat beside her. His eyes go to where her shirt has lifted and the scarring gun shot wound on her side.

"I'm more than okay. I'm with you...Even if this place is a little crappy." Harley responds cheekily, a smile on her face. She sits up and moves to straddle Dom, placing her forehead against his with closed eyes.

"The life of a wanted criminal isn't as luxurious as people think." Dom comments, the corner of his lips quirking upward as he rubs her back.

"Well that depends on how you look at it. Being together - always having you by my side - is something I'd consider to be a luxury." The blonde tells him, resting her neck in the crook of his neck. Her mind remains on something though and it makes her jump up, standing opposite him, hands wrung together. Dom looks up at her with furrowed brows, confused by her actions. She never got nervous. Not really.
"When you were gone, I promised myself something. I promised I would do something when you came back to me no matter how stupid I might look or sound. This is me standing by that promise because I can't stand the thought of us being split up again and not having something more to remind me of you. Meeting you is one of the best things that has happened to me. And who am I kidding? You had my full attention at that very first street race - no matter how much I acted like you didn't. And now I'm rambling."

"What are you talking about?" The man in front of her questions, rising from his seat to stand a little in front of her. She runs her hand through her hair, taking a deep breath before answering.

"Marry me." Harley blurts out, her face expectant as she looks at him. Dom studies her features. The way she's biting her lips nervously, the way her hands hang onto each other, her blue eyes sparkling in anticipation, the slight lines appearing in her forehead from how high her brows have gone. Harley can feel the panic blooming within her the longer the silence goes on.
"Say some-" She goes to talk again but her words don't come out as her boyfriend grabs her and lifts her off the ground, her legs wrapping around him and their lips smashing together. After a few seconds, she pulls away a little breathless.
"So is that a yes?" She asks and he nods with a chuckle, moving them over to the bed.

"A definite yes." His husky voice sounds in her ear, resulting in a giggle from her.

A couple weeks later and Harley was stood in front of a mirror. They'd stopped in São Paulo and a decided it was somewhere they'd stay until they got a call. The blonde woman looked over her outfit; it wasn't a fancy white dress but it was enough for her. Instead, she'd put on a flowy white dress that stopped just a over her knees, the bodice tight and the cross hanging around her neck as per usual. Dom hadn't let the blonde see the rings at all, telling her he deserved some part in taking control since she took away the proposal side of it. Of course she'd laughed but let him carry on.

Her eyes went down to her ring finger. Something else the Toretto had done was give her an engagement ring - said it had been in the family. Harley cried at the sentiment and speech with the ring. She'd never met Dom's mom but the way both he and Mia spoke about the woman told her she was an amazing person. So for him to give her his mom's ring brought her to tears. It was beautiful. How he ended up back in possession of it despite being in prison? She'll never know. Though she suspects it had either been hidden well in the car or he'd had someone send it over when he knew they'd stay in one place long enough.

"Harley Toretto." Harley says to herself, a smile spreading across her face.
"Let's make it happen." She speaks, nodding to herself and walking towards the door. Her hands shake slightly as she walks out, eyes catching sight of Dom before he even sees her. He's stood there looking as nervous as she feels, wearing a black button down with every button done up and blue jeans. He too had made an effort to dress smart despite lack of time and resources to get traditional outfits. They were suffering a little after having to 'donate' a large sum to keep the priest etc quiet about the wedding.

She walks down the aisle, her heels clicking against the floor which makes Dom turn in her direction. Pure happiness on his features; eyes bright and a smile on his face as he watches his beautiful bride walking towards him. Harley Matthews - soon to be Harley Toretto - the woman he fell in love with thirteen years ago. He knew she'd be trouble for him as soon as she stepped out of her car; as soon as she tied with him; as soon as she found him again. Dom had fallen for her faster than he'd like to admit, or would have admitted, and she had him wrapped around her finger.

He had to make her his before anyone else could take his girl. Now here she was about to be his wife. The two of them together - wherever the roads took them. Harley meets him by the priest, glowing with happiness, her blue orbs locked on his dark ones. Her hands reach forward to hold his own; both their hands slightly calloused from years and years of working on cars. Dom nods for the man beside them to begin; being told the words to repeat. A woman hands her the ring to give to Dom; just a simple silver band but as she looks inside, she can see an engraving.

Harley. It makes her let out a short laugh.

"'I, Dominic Toretto, take you, Harley Matthews to be my wife. To have and to hold from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart. I promise that every road we take will be together..." Dom vows, making the woman in front of him smile as he speaks. He slides her ring onto her finger - a slimmer silver band with an engraving on the inside.

Dominic. This way, the two of them had something of each other on them. Each other's names inside their wedding ring.

"I, Harley Matthews, take you, Dominic Toretto, to be my husband. To have and to hold from this day forward; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us apart. Dominic, I will always stay by your side - ride together and die together. I love you..." She tells him, sliding the ring onto his finger. The priest looks between them with a smile.

"And now, by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. Mr and Mrs Toretto for the first time. You may kiss your bride." The older man nods to Dom and he looks at the woman in front of him intently, pushing hair away from her face and stepping forward to bring her to him. The blonde smiles into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Mrs Toretto. You don't know how long I've been waiting for that." Dom tells his now wife, holding her close by the waist.

"Now where oh where can we go on our honeymoon?" Harley asks sarcastically with a laugh. As if she'd care about something like that. Hell, their life would practically be a constant holiday anyway. They'd constantly be moving around because of their wanted status.

But at least one thing was certain. They'd always have each other no matter what.
