My father was finally back from wherever he had disappeared to, and it was now time to put Jason and my plan in motion.
I'd subtly mention how after talking to the redhead I believe that we should take him up on dealing, and if my father goes digging for more-which I'm sure he'll do-I'll drop the bomb. The bomb being that I'm dating Jason.
"Hey, Dad?" I called from my spot at the bar as my father walked pass. He stopped and turned to me questioningly.
"You know how I said that you shouldn't trust Jason?" He nodded, "well I thought about it and, I think you should."
He looked shocked, but it quickly turned into confusion. "What changed your mind, Mad? Last time I checked you hated the kid,"
"Well things have changed," I said vaguely.
"Like what,"
"We started talking, and we're kind of dating now," I said, feigning a sheepish smile. To say FP was surprised would be an understatement. He could barely string a sentence together.
"I thought you and that kid, Joaquin, were together," he finally said, trying to steering clear of anything to do with Jason.
"Nope," I said, popping the 'p'. I smiled innocently, standing up.
"So you'll let him?" I asked cheerily, not waiting long before cutting him off just as he went to speak.
"N-"
"Oh thank god! I thought you'd say no, and then JJ would get upset and breakup with me. God, I'd be heartbroken," I said, going over the top dramatic with it. If I knew my father as well as I thought I do, then there's no way he'd say no now.
His goal in life is to make sure I'm happy, as I'm the only child he seems to have any sort of bond with. Jellybean always stocked to my mother more, and Jughead has already started doing everything to stay away from us. My father knows that as long as he keeps me happy then I'll stay with the serpents, meaning I'll stay with him.
But to be honest, the serpents are my family too and I'd never be able to leave them behind. My father will never know this however.
"Of course I would take his deal," he laughed nervously, "I was just testing the kid, yeah," he muttered the last part, clearly lying but I paid no mind to it.
"Oh thank you daddy! I have to go tell Jay the good news, I'll see you later," I said, rushing out of the bar, grabbing my leather jacket decorated by an infamous snake on the way out."Jason Blossom open your fucking front door," I hissed quitely when Jason finally answered his phone. I had gone home and changed into a pair of high waisted shorts, and oversized white hoodie, and black thigh high heels before coming over to Jason's house.
Since it was already almost eight when I left the bar it was relatively late, and I knew that Jason's family was home and I could therefore not bang on his door. It also meant that the sun had set and the temperature had dropped a considerable amount.
"Manic? What are you doing at my house at, ten pm!" I rolled my eyes, knowing he couldn't see me.
"Just get your ass down here already. I'm freezing and tired, Blossom," he groaned before agreeing, and hanging up.
Not even a minute later was he at the double doors. They opened simultaneously, revealing a tired and shirtless Jason Blossom. I paid no mind to him and pushed past him, running my arms to try and generate heat. The cold hit Jason and he shivered, quickly closing the doors.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, his voice hushed.
"My dad said he'd take your offer," I said, avoiding his question. He instantly peeked up.
"That's great, but what are you doing here," he asked again. I looked down, biting my lip nervously.
"I was wondering if I could stay the night," I said sheepishly, "some of the serpents are coming over to drink, and last time that happened it didn't end too well," I admitted. He didn't say anything and I instantly deflated a bit.
"Or not, um, I'll just go then," I said, before trying to quickly leave before my ego was bruised any more. However Jason was quick to stop me. He caught my arm and pulled me back.
"No, no it's fine. Cmon," he said before ushering me up the stairs and into what I assumed to be his room. He shut the door quietly behind us, and disappeared into his closet before coming back out. He handed me a pair of white sweatpants before directing me to his bathroom.
I changed into the sweatpants, rolling the top twice to make them fit better, and took my hoodie off. I was wearing a white sports bra underneath, so I didn't bother asking for a shirt. Leaving my clothes in a pile on the ground, along with my boots, I left the bathroom.
Jason was in the middle of getting extra blankets and pillows from a ottoman when I came out, but he finished quickly before setting them on a couch at the end of his bed. He gulped as he took in my shirtless self, but hid it quickly.
"You can have the bed, I'll take the couch," Jason said.
"It's your bed Jay, I'll take the couch,"
"No, you're the guest. I'll take it,"
"Nope,"
"Yes. Take it,"
"Um, nope,"
"Seriously, Manic, take the damn bed-"
"No."
"Yes," Jason said before laying down on the couch before I could retaliate. I rolled my eyes but laid on the bed anyways, getting comfortable.
I was half asleep when I whispered a small thanks.
"It's fine, Mad," Jason whispered back.
