When Madelyn Jones pulled up to the house of Archie Andrews she was surprised, to say the least.
Since when had Jughead been the partying type?
The house was filled with teenagers, all either drunk or high. Music was blaring so loud that it was a wonder how none of the neighbors had called the cops yet, especially in a neighborhood like this.
Manic parked down the street and walked up to the house, not bothering with knocking, and walked right in. Pushing past the swarm of teenagers, the redhead found herself in the kitchen.
To her surprise, her father and Joaquin stood near the sink, talking in hushed voices. They immediately stopped upon hearing the sound of heels approaching, but relaxed when they saw the redheaded daughter of FP.
"Don't stop on my account," Manic muttered, glaring at a girl when she drunkenly stumbled into her on the way to the living room.
"What are you doing here?" Joaquin asked, stepping forward.
Manic rolled her eyes, "Betty, and I'm assuming that's why you're here too." She glances at her dad, who just grimaced and nodded.
The redhead bid goodbye to her fellow Serpents before moving to the living room, noticing Cheryl Blossom dancing in the center of teens. Manic made her way to her friend, more than slightly confused as to why she was there.
Cheryl immediately began dancing with Manic when she noticed her, forcing her sister by everything but blood to dance.
"Manic! What are you doing here?" Cheryl asked, glancing around as she continued to move to the music.
"Betty convinced me, but I would have came without a fuss if I knew it was going to be a party," Manic said, a grin on her face as she moved in sync with her friend, "although I am confused, since this was supposed to be Juggie's party and he hates shit like this."
Cheryl gave a tight lipped smile and a small shrug.
The two continued to dance, slithering around the room and mingling with others.Madelyn made her way out of the house and into the backyard, a teary eyed Betty Cooper running past her as she walked to the garage.
Muttering a quick 'what the fuck' under her breath, she opened the door to the garage door to find her twin.
He looked over as the door opened, confused when he saw his sister.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, knowing that Manic usually spent their birthday with her best friend.
The redheaded Jones plopped down on the couch, drunkenly holding her head up with her hand.
"That Betty girl practically guilted me into coming," she said, pursing her lips.
Jughead rolled his eyes at this news. Why else would she be here?
"What's up with that, anyways?" The girl asked.
"With what?"
"You, Betty. You're relationship, duh."
"Nothing, I just told her off for throwing me a party," he muttered, trying to act like it was no big deal.
Madelyn stared at him for a second, a sad look on her face.
"Listen, Jughead," she whispered softly, "don't let what happened with me and Jason happen to you. You love her, and you may not see that now, but you do. Don't let her walk away, okay? Because it might be too late by the time you try and fix it. Okay? I loved Jason, and I always will, and I don't regret what happened with us. The only thing I regret was that we didn't do more, we didn't feel more. Our time was limited, and we didn't know it. You never know how limited your time is with a person until it's over and there is nothing you can do about it. Don't let that happen with you and Betty."
Jughead watched as his sister succumbed to her emotions, tears silently streaming down her face.
He took a seat next to his sister, and when she threw herself into his arms and sobbed into him, Jughead Jones held her closer. As Jughead Jones led Manic through the house and towards the front door, he was stopped by Chuck Clayton.
The ex-football player forced them into the living room, where the rest of the partygoers were. Cheryl immediately came over and took Madelyn, sitting the girl down on a comfy recliner, where the shorter redhead almost immediately spaced off.
"Listen up, party people!" Cheryl yelled, a smirk on her face, "everyone has their secrets, and we've all done our fair share of sinning. That's one thing my dear brother's death has revealed, so let's play a little game to get those secrets out in the open."
Manic, who had come out of her daze halfway through Cheryl's speech, perked up.
