"You're friends a literal psycho, Juggie," Madelyn said as she entered their home. Jughead, who was sat on the couch, looked up from his phone in question.
"Fucking found him spray painted the side of a building and then the crazy bitch pulled a fucking gun on Sweets, me, and a couple of Serpents."
"What are you talking about?" Jughead asked, knowing exactly who she was talking about not wanting to admit it.
"Oh, don't play dumb with me," she huffed, "Archie fucking Andrews has gone full blown psycho. He's got lucky this time Jug, but the second he tries fucking with someone bigger than a couple of juvenile kids, shits gonna go even further south for him."
"I know, sis," Jughead muttered dejectedly, staring at his lap and trying to avoid the dissatisfied look on his sisters face, "I can talk to him, tell him to knock it off. Don't worry."
"I'm not worried, Jughead. At least not for the Serpents."
Jughead looked up, worried, "who else would you be worried for?"
"I heard rumors that Sweets is looking to pick a fight. His ego has been bruised, and truthfully, he's being a little overprotective."
"Overprotective?"
"He's pissed off because he got a gun pulled on him, and the fact that little ole' me was there, isn't making it any better."

Later that day, when the moon was full and the sky dark, a rumbling of engines could be heard inside the house of Archie Andrews.
The redhead teen exchanged looks with his fellow red circle members and his girlfriend before making his way to his front door and opening it, just in time to watch as a hoard of Serpents stomped up his front porch.
Leading the group was a tall, dark haired teen wearing a nasty glare. To his left, his best friend, and to his right, a girl that was all too familiar to the Andrews' kid.
"How stupid are you Northsiders?" Sweet Pea asked, his voice dark, "You really think you can come to my house, stick a gun in mine and my girls face in front of our boys, and there wouldn't be any payback?"
Manic internally smiled at Sweet Pea's claim on her, but kept her face stoic.
"You got a lot of nerve, Archiekins. You really thought that there wouldn't be any retribution for you sins?" Madelyn asked in a sickly sweet voice. But the look on her face showed it all.
It didn't matter if he was her twins best friend, Serpents came before anyone. Even family.
"You have crap timing, bro. Bulldogs eat Serpents for lunch," Reggie Mantle said as he and the rest of the team came to back up Archie.
"We'll see about that." Sweet Pea said.
"And, besides, the more the merrier, right?" Manic chuckled.
"Hey, chill," Veronica said as she shoved her way through the bulldogs.
"Veronica, stay here." Archie turned to face his girlfriend.
"What? Archie, no."
"Veronica, after my dad, I made a promise to protect him and this house. You stay here."
The redheaded male then turned back to the Serpents standing on his front porch.
"If you wanna fight, we'll fight."
"What about your gun?" Sweet Pea asked, a bitterness to his tone.
"What about your knife?"
"How about no weapons?" Veronica's voice cut in, "if you troglodytes insist on doing this, then there are going to be rules. Or shall I call Sheriff Keller to be referee?"

When the two opposing sides reached their predetermined battle ground, Sweet Pea stopped Madelyn from dismounting her bike.
"Don't fight," he whispered, staring into her eyes with an unfamiliar vulnerability in his own.
Madelyn, however, missed the look in his face.
"What? Why the hell would you even ask that."
"Madelyn, please. I know firsthand that you could knock half of those guys out with a punch, but please just don't."
"Why not."
"Because..."
"Because what, Sweets?" Manic was growing annoyed. To her, it seemed like Sweet Pea was doubting her.
"Because I don't want you to get hurt."
"Oh," she whispered, her mouth going slack.
Manic was shocked, to say the least.
"Yeah, 'oh'," Sweet Pea said bitterly, slightly rolling his eyes before storming off.
Manic stayed seated and watched him go, partially because she was shocked and partially because he told her to.
If he wanted her to sit out, then she would, even if it pained her to do so. She trusted him, and his intuition. Sweet Pea knew just how bad she could get someone, the only reason he'd ask her to sit out of a fight was because he had a bad feeling about it.

Sweet Pea's warning against joining the fight was a smart call, as before the sun rose the entire group would be woken up by Sheriff Keller pounding on their doors. All except Madelyn Jones.
Madelyn had stayed perched on her motorcycle while the rest of the gang both got beat, and beated on the others. She had stayed perched when Veronica Lodge crept up and stuck her hand in the air, firing off a single bullet and scaring the shit out of everyone.
And the redhead had stayed perched while the rest of the Southside Serpents hopped on their bikes and sped off.
"You really do have a flair for dramatics, don't you, Lodge?" She had said, giving the Latina a smirk before she too, rode off.

This is highkey so bad and late as fuck, but honestly these past few weeks have been hectic. The whole shooting in Florida really got me on edge for awhile, and I honestly still am. And then my birthday came up and I was busy for awhile with plans. And schools just a pain in the ass. But better late than never?
