Sarabi's POV

Three days later...

So lately Muffy and I have kept our unborn cub a secret. We don't want to tell anyone yet, mostly because our parents would freak out. Muffy is being really supportive but maybe little too much.

Right now I'm sitting under a large tree with big green leaves for shade. It's not too far from the waterhole and it's in lush grass.

"Sarabi!" I heard a familiar voice call out. It was Mufasa.

"I'm over here Muffy!"

He followed my voice and found me.
"There you are! I didn't know where you were."

"Well now you do."

He came closer and licked my nose.
"I need to ask you something."

"What is it?" I said getting up to sit in front of him.

"Sarabi, I know that there is no one else in this world that I would rather spend the rest of my life with." He smiles and looks deeply into my eyes.
"I knew it from the first time we ever played tag." He chuckles.
"And now you are carrying our cub.
I know that my life will never be complete without you beside me to share it. I want you to be my wife and my Queen because you are the love of my life. You are the most beautiful and intelligent lioness I have ever met, Sarabi, will you marry me?"

Did Muffy really just ask me to marry him?

"Yes or no?" He questions.

"Yes absolutely yes!"

"I love you so much." Says Muffy with a wide smile on his face.

"I love you too." I nuzzle into his mane.

There was a silence between us as we sat there embracing each other.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Muffy I'm okay. I wasn't expecting you to ask me to marry you so soon but at some point in time, I knew it was going to happen anyways."

"It's the right thing to do, Sarabi."

"I know that. It's just that everything seems to be happening so fast these days."

He nuzzles me. "Everything is going to be okay.
I thought I was the one who was worrying too much." He chuckles.

"Hey!" I paw at his face playfully and pin him down.
I lick his cheek. "When should we tell everyone that we're getting married?"

"Hmmm...how about tonight?"

"Okay, but don't you think they might figure everything out, since we're doing this so early?"

"We can just tell them that since we love each other so much, we decided that we wanted to get married as soon as possible."

"I guess that could work."

"There's only one way to find out."

That night...

Everyone was about to make their way into the cave to sleep, but first Muffy and I have to tell them that we're engaged. I'm kind of excited but also freaking out at the same time.

"Ahem..." Mufasa clears his throat loudly to get the prides attention.

Every turns their heads to face us.

"Sarabi and I would like to announce that we are now engaged."

Everyone's eyes grew wide including my parents, and Mufasa's parents.
I really hope this goes well!

My father walks up to me with my mother at his side. "Sarabi is this true?" He asks.

"Y-Yes father."

My mother nuzzles me. "Congratulations sweetheart. I knew you two would eventually get married."

"Yes, but I must admit that I wasn't entirely prepared for it to happen this soon." Said my father.

The King walks up to us now. "Hmm...yes why is it that you decided to get married so soon." He asked staring us both down.

Thank god Muffy had already planned what to say. "Well father, Sarabi and I love each other so much that we decided we wanted to get married as soon as possible."

"...is this true Sarabi?" Asked King Ahadi.

"Y-Yes Sir."

"I see..." He looked at us for a few moments.
"Well Sarabi, I must say that it is a pleasure that you will be joining our family."

Mufasa and I both sighed in relief.

"I'm so happy for you both." Said Queen Uru. She hugged us both.

"Thank you." My Queen I said as I bowed my head down to her and the King.

Everyone then congratulated us including Sarafina, then we all went to bed. The only lion who didn't say a word was Scar, he just had this look in his eyes of anger.
I wonder what that's all about?

Sarafina's POV

I keep tossing and turning, for some reason I just can't get to sleep tonight.
I look over to see where my best friend Sarabi is sleeping next to Mufasa at the back of the cave.
I can't believe she's getting married!
I hate to admit it, but I am so jealous.
I want love and I want romance.
