I slightly turn my head. Slowly. My eyes focus on a recognizable face. It's his face. He's alive! Jason is alive and he is standing in front of me, this is amazing.

"Don't do it, Jasmine!" He says firmly, smiling at me like nothing has happened like nothing is happening.

"Jason," his name just falls out of my lips, I've never been more relieved to see him than this morning. "I've sincerely missed you."

He continue's to smile at me without saying a word. What is he thinking about?

"I need to ask you something..." I break the short silence.

"Go ahead, I'm all ears." He replies with a slight giggle.

"Where have you been?"

Jason looks around, acting as if he didn't hear what I just said. "I was in the tree when you gave Katherine the rabbit. I found the careers and I allied with them. That's when Nathaniel, some girl and I found Katherine and Lukas about twenty minutes ago."

"You've been here all this time? What happened? Why didn't you tell me you were in the tree?" Jason is confusing me, my words come out all fuzzy.

"Look, Jasmine, I think Nathaniel and the other girl was the last of them." He shrugs, "and I was going to tell you I was in the tree after I and Katherine had gotten rid of them, but I didn't want to call your name and give away your position. I never wanted to let anyone know your location."

I throw my arms around my brother. If anything had happened to him, I would never have forgiven myself.

"Jazzy?" That name takes me by surprise. He hasn't called me that since we were children.

"Yes?" I smile at him warmly before releasing my grip on his waist.

"You're going home."

"I'm not Jason, you have to." Tear rolls down my face, "you need to take care-"

"Stop. You're better at that than I ever will be."

We take the short walk back to the tree, Katherine has lit a fire and is cooking the rabbit. Lukas has some blood on his hands and Aaron? Well, he looks like he is taking a nap.

Jason and I take a seat next to one another on a branch above the others. I really hope our tree doesn't catch a light and cause a forest fire. That's the last thing. A few minutes later, Katherine calls us down for the meal. We're lucky that we didn't have a forest fire. I took into a rabbit's leg with some berries that Lukas collected whilst I was talking to Jason.

We all finish our food peacefully. But then is when I realize that we are out of water. Luckily, there is a downhill stream not to far from here that I saw last night.

"I'm going to get us all some water," I say, breaking the silence again.

"I'll come with you," Jason suggests.

It doesn't take long before Aaron suggests to come with us.

"But who's going to stay with Katherine and Lukas?" Jason asks.

"Katherine and I will be fine. You guys go ahead." Insists Lukas.

So Jason, Aaron and I begin walking in the direction we came from until we reach the point where last night's fight happened. That's when I point west, that's the direction that I came from and where the downhill stream is.

Coming from Bridgewater, a town/city full of lakes and things, you get taught about how to drink water safely and how to find it/purify it.

"Here we are," Aaron says, taking out a water skin.

"Since when did you have that?" I ask him.

"I just never told you. Neither did Katherine I don't think. But she does have one, I've got it."

I take a water skin that I had found on the way here, one of last nights deceased left it behind, and fill it with water. If water is running downhill, it's fresh and is most likely safe to drink.

"Okay let's get out of here. Something doesn't feel right." Jasons suggests.

I agree with him, birds are swarming and are getting aggressive. I'm not entirely sure but I think I read somewhere that when birds do this, a danger is nearby.

I pull my bow off of my back and take and arrow. I pull it back and lift it to my chin ready for it to fly. "Let's go, slowly. There might be someone out here."

"I agree," says Aaron.

We walk off slowly back towards our tree that Katherine and Lukas are taking shelter in.

A small knife fly's past Aaron's ear. "What the hell?" He screams.

Immediately, Jason throws me and Aaron into a bush. He only has a machete on him, nothing for long distance. There's a small hole in the bush, big enough for me to see through and maybe shoot from whilst still taking cover. I pull my bow to my chin and look around for enemies. Shortly, a small light skin girl appears from the water. This takes me by surprise. She's too young. I can't kill her.

The girl begins to run towards Jason but he doesn't move. He must be having the same thoughts as me. She only looks the same age as Lukas.

The girl stops when she reaches Jason. She pulls a knife out of her pocket, but before she has the chance to think twice about using it, her head is dismembered from her body. But Jason's machete is still by his side, exactly where is was thirty seconds ago. However, Aaron is no longer in the bush, he's standing four meters behind the girls still standing body. With no spear. The spear is in the child's skull.

I jump from the bush, and get angered easily. "How could you? She was a child! Somebody's daughter!" I shove Aaron and he falls to one knee.

When he is standing again, he simply replies "do you want to get out of here?"

The young girls body drops to the ground with a soft thud.
