"I'm ever so sorry, but my van is very messy with overdue and unwanted parcels and letters. The package that your parents wanted is right at the back! Give me two seconds and the package will be in your hands." He said politely.
"That's fine, don't worry," I said as I peered into the dark van. Alan stepped onto the van and bent over to move the letters out of his way and he suddenly let out a loud cry.
"Oh my!" He said clutching his back.
"What's the matter?" I asked him fearfully. I looked at his face, which was full of agony and pain, but for some reason most of the pain expressed on his face, looked as if he had put it on.
"It's my back! It's been hurting me when I bend or crouch down," he said.
"Umm. Should I get the package or whatever?" I asked.
"If you don't mind," he said.
I went inside the back of the van and I looked at him.
"Where is the parcel and the signature papers?" I asked him. His eyes gleamed in the darkness.
His lips twisted themselves into an evil smile. He stood up and let go of his back.
"Wait, what about your back?" I asked him, my voice turning shaky, even though I had a rough idea of what was going to happen next.
"Maddie, Maddie didn't mummy teach you not to open the doors to strangers, especially funny looking men?" he said tauntingly and before I could register what was happening, he shut the doors with a big slam and darkness sat everywhere around me. My head started to throb and I felt very dizzy.
I banged the doors and shouted as loud as I could.
"HELP! GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I said as I started to sob. This isn't actually happening; this isn't actually happening I said over and over again. I pinched myself several times before I believed I was in reality. I slumped against the van wall crying and crying.
How did this happen to me? Could I have been such an idiot? Where is he taking me? How does he know my name? All these questions swam in my head. I wiped my tears, telling myself that if I go to sleep, I will wake back up in my warm home. I wished and wished as I finally fell asleep.
