"Of course," she said proceeding, "Nobody had the guts to kill each other even if we were arch enemies from the training camp. We just hid out from each other and tried to survive the wild with only deaths caused by; cold nights, starvation, thirst or wounds made by the animals or plants."

"So was there a winner?" I asked, picking up a small stick and bending it to see its forces.

"I don't know. Lydia and I have been camping out around the woods. That's how you found us. As I said, we have been here for three months now and yet not come across a single pair. Maybe they found a way out of here or something," she said kicking a small stone. She picked it up and held it in her hand.

"Not a single pair? Not anybody at all?" I asked stunned.

"Nope. Although I did see a running girl with something in her hand if that counts!" she said laughing.

"What was in her hand?" I asked suspiciously.

"I think it was a brown envelope. Nothing special," she said counting the sticks in her hand. "Should we keep this stick?"

"Yea, but about the envelope, how big would you say it was?" I asked.

"Quite small, why do you care?" she answered.

"Because Bella had an envelope that she gave to me. It was small and brown. You said the girl was running, where to? Did you see?"

"She was running to the outside of the woods, not that far from here actually," she said pointing to the darker part of the woods. "Where's the envelope now?"

I lifted my t-shirt up and reached for the crumpled up envelope. I pulled it out and straightened it.

"Here, take this," I said as I passed her my sticks and stones.

"Why have you got this? It can snap easily!" said Sophia going through my items.

"I must have been paying attention to your story that I collected rubbish, sorry."

"Look it doesn't matter, but I don't get why you care so much about an envelope. What do you think is inside?" she asked dropping the things at her feet to get a better look at the envelope.

"It may help us somehow. Maybe a weakness or a hidden source in this forest," I said getting excited.

"OK, let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's probably just another weapon or something useless," she said leaving me and going further.

I pulled open the envelope top and peered inside. I dangled the envelope and out came a folded up piece of paper. I picked up the paper and opened it up.

"What you got there?" asked Sophia running back.

"I think it's a map," I said.

"Look, it's a map of this place!" she said. "There's the river, the place we saw your dad and where we are now!"

"But where's the X, and where does it lead to?" I muttered under my breath. I followed up each path and soon came across the X. From the X was a line that led up to the top of the page. There was a short sentence.

'ESCAPE CENTRE' read the X.

Hello there!

Ok, so as you already know, I haven't updated in like months... ~SORRY~

Well if your wondering why now, well of course the summer holiday has just started where I live and I have a break from school, and also people and motivated me into writing this chapter. One of my best friends from school has told me to update almost every day and I have also recieved a personal message from a user on Wattpad asking me to update and complimenting my story and my style of writing, I course I am very grateful to both of these people and if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have updated now. Of course now that I have updated I will update more regularly!!!

Also, this story is nearly coming to an end and I will be tying up all the loose ends to the questions in this book that have been unanswered. If you wish to have a question answered that you think I will not answer, please comment down below and I will answer it ASAP. Again sorry if this chapter was short.

Please follow me and vote for my chapters as they go on and also please feel free to comment whatever you want, whether it be compliments or criticism.
