Nanami and Hikari waited at the front gates for the limo that's supposed to pick them up. It's still the middle of January, so they still had their coats on. It wasn't snowing, but it was definitely cold. When the limo arrived, the door opened and a black haired male came out.
"Sumeragi-san." Nanami greeted. When she mentioned that name, Hikari recalled the full names of all seven members of HEAVENS.
Kira nodded. Then he turned to face the manager. "Nice to meet you."
Hikari knew he was talking to her and nodded. "Nice to meet you too, Sumeragi Kira-san." She couldn't see that Kira was offering a hand shake.
Kira didn't comment and merely retracted his arm. "Eiichi had somewhere to be. He told me to pick you up insead."
"Oh, well it's alright." Nanami replied with a smile.
Kira nodded and, being the gentleman he is, moved away from the door. Nanami tugged on Hikari's sleeve and they both got in the car.
So this is what they meant when they say he's silent but charismatic. Hikari thought, recalling the gossips she heard from work. Even without seeing him, she could feel the aura he's giving off. To top it off, he's from the Sumeragi family. Quite famous like the Hijirikawa and Jinguji families.
They rode in silence, and once they reached HEAVENS' dormitory, they got out of the car and Kira immediately escorted them to their own rooms. With little help from the silent idol, Hikari managed to 'memorize' her room's interior. She appreciates how instead of questioning her, he helps her instead, unlike most of the staff did when she first started this job.
Once they both settled in, Kira offered to make lunch, in which Nanami attempted to refuse. Kira however, was presistent in his offer and did anyway.
He really is a gentleman... A bit much, but not bad. Hikari thought. After a bit of silence, aside from the constant sizzle from the pan he was using, Hikari decided to speak up. "So where is everyone else? Are they working?" Kira merely nodded.
"What about Otori-san?" Nanami asked.
At this, Kira looked up at a clock. "Eiichi should be back by now."
Hikari shifted in her position. "Otori Eiichi is HEAVENS' leader right?"
"Yes." Nanami replied. Then she faced Kira. "Where did you say he had to go to again?"
"...."
"Sumeragi-san?"
"Sumeragi?"
"... Raging Otori."
Hikari felt herself froze. It has been a while since she heard that name and up til now, it still sent her chills.
Nanami on the other hand, had her head low. "O-oh... Well... Will he be alright?"
"Worried about me? I'm touched." A very recognizable voice said as the door opened.
"Otori-san!"
"...."
Kira turned his head and nodded at the male. "Eiichi. Welcome back."
"Yeah. Not for long though." The brunette replied. "At 3 I'll be gone again, I've got to pick up Eiji and we'll head to the tv station for the talkshow. We could be late for dinner."
"That's quite long for a talkshow." Kira stated, making the leader nod.
"Yeah. I don't know but it's what the old man said." He replied with a shrug. Then he let out a smile. "Alright, enough of that. We have two beautiful angels on the table awaiting lunch and a tour. The sooner we start, the sooner we can relax."
Kira nodded and finished up. He put down the serving plate at the center of the table and walked back into the kitchen to put away his apron. Then he sat down across Nanami while Eiichi sat next to him and across Hikari.
Hikari sniffed a bit. "That smells nice... Fried rice?"
"We call it the Sumeragi Special." Eiichi said. "This is his way of welcoming you both here. He made this exact one when we increased HEAVENS' members up to seven. No one but 'mommy' Kira can make food as good as this." He explained with a chuckle.
"However, dessert is Eiji's speciality." Kira said, picking up his spoon, not taking any offense at all. "If you like sweets, he's the one you should go to."
"Or Nagi. With his stash of candy being refilled every week." Eiichi said, shaking his head. "It's a miracle that he hasn't gotten sick yet."
Hikari nodded and took a bite. "Eh... What did I just bit into? Fish?"
"It's shrimp." Kira replied, taking another scoop.
Hikari was slightly preplexed. "S-shrimp?! B-but, how?! I... I never liked shrimp until now."
"He won't answer that." Eiichi said with a light hearted chuckle. "The shrimp is the whole reason the fried rice taste so good, no chance he'll give away his secret for it."
Nanami gave a small giggle. "Sora's right though. This tastes amazing. It reminds me of my grandmother."
"Anyway," Eiichi said, changing the topic. "You're STARISH and Quartet Night's new manager, right? Sorano Hikari."
Hikari unnoticably stiffened and nodded. "Yeah. That's me. And I already know who you are, so introductions aren't really necessary."
"Casual type? Good. That'll be easier to work with than someone who's completely stiff about work." Eiichi said, emphasizing the word 'good'.
Kira turned to him with a deadpan face. "Was that meant to be a joke?"
This made Eiichi smirk. "I didn't say it was you. But if you felt triggered then you must be guilty of something."
Kira went back to his poker face and sighed. Although he'll never admit it, he was laughing on the inside. Hikari sweatdrop at how surprisingly easy it was for her to read him, even without seeing his facial expression.
After lunch, Kira picked up all their plates to wash as Eiichi took over for the tour around the dorm. He twisted the chairs the girls were both sitting on and grinned. "Good! Now we-"
He was interupted by a very familiar ringtone. STARISH's debut song, Maji Love 1000%. Nanami blushed. "E-excuse me!" She went to the corner of the room and picked up the call.
Eiichi sighed and restarted. "Now, we can start the tour! Nanami has already been here several times, so I guess we can go on ahead without her..."
"I'll take care of her." Kira told them as he washed the plates.
Eiichi nodded then turned to Hikari. "Well then, shall we?" He got hold of her arm and began to show her all the rooms they had in the dorm.
