Chapter 17
We got really scared of the ouji board and decided to get up. "Jake I'm really scared I want to go home." I was almost in tears.
"Okay let's go." Jake hugged me as he said that. We than heard another noise and ran very fast.
"Wait. I hear footsteps." Jake said.
"Come one let's go!" Kade said. We all than ran.
"Jake I'm so scared this is not funny. And I think someone or something is following us." I said. We all ran down steps to get out and hid in this area so the thing could not see us.
"Jake! I want to go." I could feel my eyes getting puffy from crying.
The figure than turned so we all ran. "Go, go!" Jake yelled. We all ran to the car. Jake had trouble finding the keys and than the figure than got on the car.
"Jake!!" I yelled. He than found the keys and speeded on the highway.
"Okay I think we got away." Jake said.
We finally got home and everyone went to bed like nothing happened.
Jake than saw me in the office on the computer. "Are you okay?" He said with his hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah I'm fine." I sniffed.
"No your not. Tell me what happened." Jake said. I could sense a sense of worry in his voice.
"I-I asked the ouji a question with Kade."
"What did you ask it?"
"If he knows my dad." I started to cry again.
Jake knows that my dad died when I was 4 years old and than my mom remarried to my stepdad.
"And he does?" I nodded. "Tessa I'm so sorry."
"I'm going to bed. Night Jakey." He kissed me goodnight. I went to bed alone that night.
