Chapter 22

I woke up this morning regretting everything I said to Jake. I than went downstairs to see Jake sitting in the kitchen.

"Jake," I said.

"No, Tessa. I'm tired of wasting my breath on you when you won't tell me anything." He said. I never seen Jake like this since he broke up with Alissa. "Oh and the guy to get the demon is coming." Than he just left.

I than just pretended nothing happened and cooked some eggs. "Hey Tess!" Chance said coming up behind me.

"Hey." I didn't realize it but I was crying.

"Hey what's wrong?" He said hugging me.

"I think me and Jake got in our first major fight. And I'm scared he's going to break up with me." I said in between sniffs.

"He's not going to break up with you. I'm going to talk to him when he gets home." Chance said. Isn't he sweet.

"You don't have to. And I don't want Jake to know that I told you."

He asked no questions and just agreed.

Jake came home and I was in the office on my phone looking on my social media.

"Hey Jake!" Chance said.

"Hey. What's up?" Jake asked. I felt kinda bad eves dropping but I had to know.

"Can we talk about Tessa?" Chance asked Jake.

"What about her? The demon? She won't tell me anything." Jake said.

"No not the demon but I heard you yelling at her this morning and than she was crying." Chance said.

"Dude, it was a stupid argument why do you care!" Jake was starting to get mad.

"Because I care about Tessa!" Chance said yelling too.

"She's my girlfriend not yours! She picked me remember?" Jake yelled.

"Maybe she made a mistake." Chance yelled back.

"I'm not arguing with you anymore. I'm tired of yelling." Than I heard Jake walking to the office. I hurried and went back to the chair on my phone.

When he walked in he just glanced at me and I smiled. "I need to talk to you." Jake whispered.

"When?" I said.

"Now." He seemed like it was important.

We got to his room than he shut it. He sighed and said, "Tess, where did you go last night and why? I know you know somewhere in there." He seemed calmer now.

"Jake. I went to the Hollywood mountains and I just cleared my head and cried." I said very quietly.

"Why?" Jake asked getting closer.

"I was scared. I mean there is a demon in me! How do you expect me to act like nothing happened?" I raised my voice a little.

"I know I'm scared too. And on top of that I'm really stressed. I think we should take a little break, at least until we are good again." I than stared to cry.

"What? You know I think your right. Umm I'm gonna go." I ran out before he could say anything.

I was about to go into Erika's room but than I realized that Chance was down there and I could not let him see me like this. But at this point I did not care. I ran straight to Erika's room. I opened the door with out even knocking.

"Rik!" I said I'm between sobs.

"Oh baby, what happened." She said giving me room to sit on her bed.

"Me and Jake broke up!" I said sobbing uncontrollably in Erika's shoulder.

"Oh, shhh. It's going to be okay." She said calming me down while petting my hair.

"I loved him." I whispered.

"I know. I know." She whispered.

Than I heard the door bell ring. "I think that's the guy to get the demon out of me." I than ran into her bathroom to fix my makeup so it does not look like I've been crying.

"Tess ready?" I nodded and followed Erika and the guy into my room.

"So is this where you seen the figure?" Adam said as I nodded. "Okay I'm just going to a little chant than bless everyone to let the ghost out. Is everyone here?" I looked around the room and saw everyone who was at the asylum even Jake.

"Yup." I said.

He did his chant thing and did everyone but I was last. "Okay now just take a deep breath." He said calmly. I did as he told me than he put holy water on me and said something I could not make out.

"Woh I feel so. I don't know lighter and healthy. Oh my gosh thank you." I said hugging him. He than left.

"See that's the Tessa I know!" Erika said coming towards me hugging me.

"Aww! I love yah!" I said in her ear making kissing noises and laughing.

From the corner of my eye I saw Jake standing in my door way but than he just left.

I got ready for bed than decided to go to Erika's room instead.

I knocked on her door. "Hey Tess." I walked into her room and sat on her bed.

"Let's have a sleep over!" I said in my girliest voice.

"OMG I was thinking that too!" She said also in a girly voice.

We just ended up watching romantic movies and eating a lot of ice cream.
