A Gift

I gave,

to a friend I care deeply about,

a gift.

It was small,

and only cost eighteen dollars, 

but she loved it.

She was over the moon,

obsessing over it,

and that made me happy.

Ecstatic. 

I'm glad I could make her feel so happy.

She said, "I need to get you something, now!"

But no.

You don't.

See, you have already given me the best gift of all;

your friendship.
