Life

Life's uphills are like mountains,

and its downhills like cliffs.

Life throws you curveballs sometimes,

and it hits you right in the face if you don't dodge.

I don't dodge;

I face it head on.

Sometimes, life is horrible.

And you don't know what to do with yourself.

Like when your best friend leaves you;

or when your family member died,

or when you made a new cut on yourself.

But other times,

life is the best gift anyone could give you.

Like when you reunite with your friend(s);

or when you fall in love,

or when you finally stop cutting.

Think about those days;

there'll be more, I promise.

And I don't make promises I can't keep.

Life is frightful, depressing, and confusing.

But it can be happy, peaceful, and beautiful.

And that's just life.
