Far or Near?

Part Two

Devan's POV
I  woke up and the first thing that I remembered was Emma. I smiled at the memory of yesterday. I yawned and stretched before I went downstairs. "Hey mom? Where's Collins?" I asked as I looked around. "He went to Starbucks. I also saw him holding a deck of cards and a sharpy." She said.

 "Heh, he I'm pretty sure that he'll perform magic to Hazel." I said as I sit down an a chair. "Hazel? Who's Hazel?" My mom asked as she make more pancakes. "Hazel. The girl who works at Starbucks." I said. 

Then i remembered Emma, making me smile. Mom smirked at me. "Why are you smiling?" She said as she placed some pancakes on my plate. "N-nothing." I stuttered, making me blush. "Uh huh." She said, still smirking as he sat across me. "Is it a girl?" She asked. "Y-yeah... it's a girl." I said, blushing darkly. 

Before she could even tease me, Collins came, smiling real wide. "What." I asked and stood up to go to him. He told us everything, making my mom squeals in happiness. I congratulated and hugged him. "Hey, was Emma there?" I whispered to Collins. He smirked. "Yeah she was." He replied and i smiled. 

I then ate breakfast, trying not to look like i'm hurrying. Once i was done, i quickly changed my clothes and did my signature hair style before grabbing my phone and walking to Starbucks. 

"Hey Devan!" I heard Hazel greet me. I smirked when i saw the card that has my brother's signature on it peeking in her pocket. I looked around but i didn't see Emma. I sighed and ordered. "Where's Emma?" I asked her as she makes the drinks. "Went to the bathroom. She'll be here soon." She said. 

Then, in the corner of my eye, i saw Emma's chocolate hair. I looked at her and smiled wide. She met my gaze and smiled wide as well, blushing. She then poured the drink on my cup and gave it to me. "Hello Chocolate Girl." I teased. "Hello guy-with-the-hella-awesome-hair-do-who-almost-comes-here-everyday." She said, making the both of us laugh. 

"That was soo long and also i'll take that as a compliment." I replied, smiling. She smiled back. "Also, tell your brother to stop driving my sister crazy? She's smiling real wide ever since Collins gave her his card card with his signature." She said, making me laugh a bit. "Okay i will." I said. 

"Oh wait, what's this." I said, pulling a paper from behind her ear. She gasped. "You're a magician too???" She said, still in shock. "No i just learned a few tricks from my brother." I said shrugging. I then placed the paper on the counter or whatever you call it. "Take it." I said before grabbing my drink and walking out, smirking.

Emma's POV
I took the paper as soon as i couldn't see Devan anymore. I stuffed it in my pocket and served more costumers. I wonder what's inside?

I am now in my room, sitting on my bed. i took the paper out of my pocket and opened it. It was a number under Devan's name. I smiled wide and quickly took my phone from my bad, almost falling in the process. I quickly typed in the number and pressed call. It only took half a ring before he answered. "Is this Emma?" I heard a familiar voice say. "Devan!" I exclaimed. I received a chuckle from the other line.

 "Hello Chocolate Girl." 

"Hello Guy-With-Awesome-Hair." I said, giggling.

"It's short now." 

"It's too looong." I said, sitting back on my bed.

"Okay. What are you doing?"

"Just sitting on my bed. You?"

"Thinking of you."
