"Oh no. Sorry!" HE quickly said, probably noticing that i was covering my eyes. When i peeked through my fingers, he was wearing a shirt and is just struggling to put on his sweat pants. I removed my hand and smiled at him. He smiled back. "Sorry bout that." He said, sitting beside me. "It's okay." I replied, looking at him. Just right after i said that, someone knocked. Whoever that was, he or she didn't wait for us to open the door and just barged in. It was Hazel and Collins and they were giggling.

"What?" i asked them, my eyebrows furrowed. "Mom allowed us to have a sleep over here." Hazel said, smiling wide. "And also, don't have... you know... sex." Collins added, smirking at Devan. "What the hell, Collins! Of course we won't now get out!" Devan shouted, making them laugh. I just cracked a smile. They did what they were told and got out. I then looked at Devan which was already looking at me. "What should we do?" I asked. "Wanna watch a-" He replied but he was disturbed by my phone ringing.

It was Ethan. "Be right back, Devan!" I said quickly before running out the room and somewhere private, not even waiting for his reply. I then answered the phone, my face beaming with excitement.

"Emma?" I heard his voice say. "Ethan!" I said, happy because i was finally talking to him since sixth grade. "How and where have you been?!" I asked, making him chuckle. "I'm okay and i've been in Maine, New York, and Ohio this passed years." I gasped at his response. "Whoa! I can't believe you, Eth! You promised we'll go there someday!" I whined. He groaned and i know why. "And you promised you'd stop calling me 'Eth'!" He whined back and i giggled.

I remembered those days in sixth grade. I would always call him "Eth" while he calls me "Em-em". We used to be so close in elementary but we parted ways when he went to another school for high school and college.

As we talk, i glanced at the clock which was on the wall. 12:16AM. We've been talking for THAT long? "Whoa it's already twelve in the morning. I think we should go take a rest and continue this talk tomorrow, yeah?" I said. "It's already tomorrow." he said, making the both of us laugh. We said our goodbyes before he hung up. I walked back to Devan's room, only to find him asleep. It was evident on his position that he waited for me and fell asleep. I chuckled and pushed him up the pillow and covered him with the covers. I placed my phone on the nightstand and crawled under the covers as well.

I faced him and stared at him. His mouth was agape and he was snoring. As i was about to face my back on him, i felt his arms wrap around me and soon, i was now pressed against his chest.

Then i remembered the time in the secret house. The time that he hugged me as we sleep. The kind of hug that i've been craving for ever since. I was finally being hugged the same way and the same feeling as that night.

I smiled wide and closed my eyes, unconsciousness quickly engulfing me.

I woke up by the sound of my phone ringing and so did Devan. I then realized that i woke up still in Devan's arms because my body felt empty. I then grabbed my phone and answered, not looking who was the caller.

"Emmaaa!"

"Ethan!"

Devan's POV
"Ethan!" Emma exclaimed. I quietly sighed and stood up from my bed. Since this "Ethan" called last night, i felt jealous. I don't why. Maybe i'm not jealous. Maybe i'm just protective. As i wash my face in the bathroom, i hear Emma and Ethan talk to each other. I glanced at her and her face was beaming with joy. Who the hell is Ethan, anyways? Why does he makes Emma so happy to the point that her face might rip apart because of how wide she's smiling?

I wiped my wet face with my towel before stepping out of the bathroom, still looking at Emma. "Yeah okay! Talk to you later, Eth!" She said before ended the call, still smiling. I secretly rolled my eyes before going outside the room. Why am i acting like this?

I went to the kitchen, grabbed the milk and the cereal, a bowl and a spoon, before sitting on the chair. Before i got the chance to insert the spoon filled with milk and cereal, Collins, Hazel, and Emma came downstairs. I greeted them as they sat down with me. Emma sat across me while Hazel and Collins were across each other, already having their own conversation.

"So. Who's Ethan?" I asked her as i pass her the cereal and milk. She looked up at me and cracked a smile. "Ethan is a friend. We've been best friends since elementary but our communication got cut off because he had to switch schools for high school." She explained. I just nodded as i chew on my food.

Emma's POV
When Devan asked the question, his voice was laced with something.... jealousy, maybe? Anger? Sadness? I don't know. And why would he, right? The both of us ate in silence. The only thing that can be heard was Collins and Hazel's quiet chatter.

Breakfast ended quite fast. It was now noon which shocked me because of how fast the time flies. Devan and i were together in the living room while our siblings are... probably in Collins' room. We weren't doing something. Devan just kept spacing out. What could he be thinking about? When i finally gathered up all my courage and power to ask him why. "I don't know. My mind is just crowded and all." is all he answered. I nodded and sighed.
