You're not suprised that Bellamy isn't there when you wake up. You look around the room and see that all of Brandon's things are gone, and all that's left is a note. You rub your eyes then jump out of bed. You had left yours and Bellamy's clothes on the floor in front of the air vent to dry. Bellamy's are gone and only yours remain. You swap your clothes your wearing for your normal outfit that was now dry. You read the note.

Dear Miss Kane,
If you haven't noticed, Brandon has been missing for a week now. Macallan had told us that he had went to Mount Weather to live. Unfortunately, as you know, Mount Weather blew up two days ago. We have reason to believe Brandon was in that explosion. We did not want to wake you, so Bellamy helped up regain his belongings. I hope you understand that Brandon's things should go to us.

You sit down the note, your hands shaking. No, he couldn't, you di- didn't see him at Mount W-Weather. What if the last thing he thought was that you didn't love him? Kesia, stay calm. With Pike in charge everything is going to be violent, and you need to stop him, and you can't do that if you're crying. Stay strong. You pull yourself together and walk out of the room, shoulders back and head high. The first thing you're going to do? Destroy Pike. How? Your acting skills.

"Happy Valentine's day Kes!"
"Shut up!" You growl. That was like the four-millionth time you heard it, and every single time someone says it they follow up with, "If Brandon were here, he would be wishing you the same." it was awful. No one really cares about you. They show fake sympathy with their, "If there's anything you need..."s and their, "I'm here for you."s. You aren't even the most hurt about it, your brother is, he just doesn't show it. You go to your room, hoping to get away. You see a small purple box sitting on the bed. Curious, you walk towards it. It's addressed to you, but it doesn't say who it's from. You hesitantly pick up the box and open it. Inside lies two notes. The first one you read is the note Brandon gave you on Christmas. You read the second one next.

Dear Kesia,
Blood is red,
Bruises are blue,
If you want to see Brandon again
Do what I tell you to do.

You like games Kesia? Then we'll play one. I'm going to take you on a scavenger hunt. Do as I order, and you'll get the next clue. If you fail, then he dies. You have fourty-eight hours.

First Clue
They've labeled him insane,
Yet people listen to his preach.

Sadly it's only accessible

What he says is questionable

"Who are they talking about?" You whisper to yourself as you think. "He's labeled insane, preaches, no pain." You gasp as a light bulb forms over your head in epiphany. "Jaha!" You put the note in your pocket and run outside, you see Jaha talking to a group of people and you start to make your way over.
"Kesia!" You hear Macallan call from afar before running over to you. "Where have you been? Your break ended ten minutes ago."
"I got caught up in something." You half explain.
"Get back to work Key_ I mean Kes. Don't think that because you're the youngest sergeant means you get to slack off."
"I know Mac."
"If you're caught slacking again, Pike will kick you off the gaurd. You hear?"
"Yes."
"Yes?"
"Yes, sir." You say and roll your eyes. Macallan gives you a glare before walking off. You know Pike is already iffy about you, mostly because you're Kane's daughter. You already heard Pike kicked him off the guard, and you don't want to end up like him. You have to do what Pike says, but you have to talk to Jaha. Whoever left that box obviously knows who you are, and if there is even the slightest chance of Brandon being alive you have to help him. What to do, what to do? You sigh and turn around. Maybe you could talk to Jaha later. Your place in the gaurd is too important to take the risk now. You have fourty-eight hours, it can wait.
