"We heard the gunshot. What happened, everyone okay?" Will asked. "Where's Erik?" Hudson asked. Joseph slowly walked passed them with his head hanging down. Everyone watched him walk into a cabin and shut the door. "Are you okay?" Mallory asked Jeffery. He nodded at her. "I'm fine, hon." He told her.
Will looked over at Jake, leaning against one of the cabins with his arms crossed. Jake looked back at him with a scowl. Jake shook his head and looked back at the ground. "Erik's dead." Dalton said. "Sprinter got him." Jeffery told them. Will sighed and crossed his arms. "Damn runners." Will said as he walked off. Hudson followed.
Moral seemed to be a low with all the recent deaths. But that was the world the survivors lived in now. Whether they liked it or not.

"First Carson. Now Erik." Joesph said to Dalton. "Question is, who's next?" Joseph said and sipped his beer. Dalton sat there on the bed. Looking down at Joseph who was sitting against the wall. Joseph placed his forearm on his knee, holding his beer. "It might not even be us, it could be one of them." Jospeh said. "Will. Clementine. Jasmine. Anyone." Joseph took another sip. "We're still here." Dalton said. "Sorry to say. But for how long?" Joseph said. Dalton looked out at the fire. Sitting there was Jake, Hudson, Kendra, Clementine and Abigail. He looked back down.
"Joseph..." Dalton muttered. But he didn't look up. "Go sit by the fire." Joseph told him. "But Jos-" "Go sit by the fire!" Joseph repeated loudly. Dalton glared at him and stood up. Just as Dalton grabbed the doorknob, Joseph spoke.
"I'm sorry, Dalt'." Dalton looked at Jospeh. "I shouldn't take it out on you." He told him. Joseph stood up. "I'll go with you." Joseph said. Dalton lightly nodded. "Okay." Dalton turned the knob and walked out with Joseph to the fire.
"I know things are a little dire right now." Hudson said. "But all we have to do is keep are heads up, and do our best." He said. "He's right." Clementine said. "We just have to avoid turning on each other. Instead, we work together. We're a group. And we look out for one another." She said. Abigail nodded in agreement.
Kyle and Katey sat beside Dalton. Kyle greeted him with a nod. Dalton nodded back. Will and Jasmine sat beside Jake. Will raised a quick hand at Jake. Jake greeted back with a small nod. "Where are Jeff and Mallory?" Joseph asked. "Inside." Will said. An awkward silence fell upon the group.
Will cleared his throat and said, "So. Nothing's out there?" Joseph looked at him. "Well... Erik shot an elk." He scowled into the fire. "But a damn bear came and dragged it away." Joseph said. "Bears? Should we maybe get inside?" Kyle asked. "Nah. The bear prob'ly brought the elk into a cave somewhere." Joseph said.
"Wait. Y'all shot an elk?" Abigail asked. Joseph nodded. "And to think we coulda been eatin' that right now." She said. "Sorry." Joseph said. "We we're talkin' earlier about at least finding a rabbit or a raccoon." Joseph told them. "Okay, we're already hungry enough." Will said with a small smile. Joseph slightly smiled back and nodded.
The group chatted late into the night. Then they decided to call it.
