"Ya doin' okay?" Abigail asked Kendra. She looked at Abigail and sighed. "No." She muttered silently. Abigail grabbed Kendra's hand. She rubbed her thumb against Kendra's. "I'm sorry Ken. I'm so sorry." Kendra looked at her and slowly nodded. She slipped her hand from Abigail's and placed her face in her hands. Abigail looked at Kendra with sad eyes and rubbed her back.
"I love you." Abigail said as she hugged her. "I love you too." Kendra said, muffled in Abigail's shoulder.
Will walked up to them and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. He sat down and looked at the fire. "We should move tomorrow. The woods aren't a good place to be." He said. "Joseph and I talked earlier. Said we should get moving tomorrow."
"Goddammit Will, not now, okay?" Abigail said, aiming a glare at him. He nodded. "Sorry." Abigail shrugged him off and continued to rub Kendra's back.
Clementine pressed the rag soaked with peroxide against her eye. Flinching in the process. She breathed out and pressed it against her eye again. More calmly then before.
"You okay, Clem?" Katey asked. Clementine smiled at her softly and said, "Yeah, I'm doing fine."
"Sorry this happened to you." Kyle said as he joined them, sitting down beside her. Clementine shrugged. "It's fine." She said. "Really? Come on now, Clem. This sucks." He said. Clementine chuckled slightly. "Yeah. It does." She replied. Katey went and joined Abigail and Kendra by the fire. A moment of silence passed. Kyle cleared his throat and said, "So... what do you think Jake's doing?" He asked. Clementine shrugged.
"I don't know, Kyle." She said. "But... I can't help but feel sorry for him." Clementine said. "Even after all this?" Kyle said. Clementine nodded. "Jake never asked for any of this. All he wanted, was to start over. With me. With Kendra. With Everyone." Clementine said.
Kyle nodded. "Yeah... maybe." He said. "I'll... leave you to your thoughts." Kyle said before standing up and leaving her.
Clementine stood to her feet and walked to a private spot where she could be to herself.
"Jake... for most of my life, you've always been there for me. To protect me. Love me. You were my big brother..." Clementine said. "I loved you so much... I looked up to you. You were my role model." She continued on with, "But then this happened. You started to change. And I'm sorry I wasn't enough. To keep you from becoming the person you are today."
"Throughout the years, I've witnessed you do many things... Things that should've made me hate you. But I don't. You're a dangerous person. And... it breaks my heart." Clementine fought back her tears. "I wish I could have my brother back. I miss you."
"But you were too far gone. Deep down, I know you were never coming back. I was never going to see the brother I once loved. I... I lost the real you a long time ago."
"Maybe, it's about time I stop blaming myself and... just accept that's how you are now. It's no one's fault. That's just how it turned out."
"But after all this time, even after what you did to me... I still love you. I hope you know that."
"And... I forgive you."
