Breaking The Ice

I limped past the cocoa hut into the snow. The animals were jumping on the ice telling each other, 'When the ice breaks we become rich with gems, rares, and diamonds!' The ice was suppose to be designed to not break so the animals didn't get stuck under and drown. I watched as a bunny jumping went under the water. While they were distracted by the bunny, I snuck past and dove into the cave. As soon as I got inside, I fell... After about a minute of complete blackness, a bright, white light was below me. I fell in and I was spit out the front. Not even gonna question it. There was a crowd gathering around the ice. Somebody yelled, "The bunny hasn't come up yet!!" Some squeaky voiced person yelled, "Nobody is brave enough to go get them!" I pushed past the crowd and looked in to see a limp body under the broken ice. They could be dead by now. I yelled, "BACK UP!" Then I jumped in and swam down to the bunny. Freezing water wasn't going to stop me. I tucked the body under my armor and noticed a glowing rock under the ice. I reached the surface before I ran out of breath. The crowd moved back as I threw the bunny on the ground. I punched the bunny's stomach... No idea how to do CPR... but I seemed to have brought the bunny to life. Then I jumped back into the water to grab the rock. Graham's face was carved into it. I came back onto shore. My head felt bare, "Who took my fedora!" The bunny I just saved wore my fedora. I put my paw down in front of him an whispered in his face, "I just saved your life, I can take it away." The bunny threw it at me, "I guess you could say, we're breaking the ice." and then ran away laughing like nothing happened. I glared at everyone I  the crowd and they awkwardly left. I put the fedora on. He better tell me where the next shard is before I bash Gilbert's face in.
