「 ❝GO CHOKE
ON A DICK!❞」
— Nick Jackson.TWO WEEKS LATER
Performing at the main event of the night had come quickly and quietly for Kenny, who had hit the showers immediately after his match.
Normally he'd of stuck around for a while, but before arriving to the facility, Matt had sent him a text informing that their flight would be arriving two hours before midnight (as had been initially expected).
By the time Kenny dressed and hitched a cab to the always traffic loaded airport, the Jackson siblings greeted him with more delight than usual.
❝This is just as good as coming home.❞ Matt admitted, as he was happily caught smashed in the middle of a warm embrace between his brother and Kenny. ❝You're only saying that because the you're recording.❞ Kenny retorted as Matt backed away to re-stabilize the focus on his phone's camera.
Still clinging onto the hug, Nick begged to differ. ❝No we're not.❞ The younger Buck smiled as Matt chuckled and put the phone away to once again form part of the embrace.
Standing in the middle of the airport as strangers looked on didn't phase any of the three. Although Matt and Nick kept in touch with Kenny every day through multiple phone calls and video chats, the three had gotten so used to being around one another from the start of the day to the end of the night.
For the past months, their schedules had coincided so much that a small two week period of being away from one another felt like an eternity.
To the Bucks, Kenny was family. Their father would even talk about the Canadian so fondly back at home that sometimes family dinners would leave a void— as if their third brother never made it home from war.
As the three walked out of the airport, Kenny placed his hands inside the pockets of his hoodie and smiled as Matt blabbered on about his adorable children— how Zack no longer had a fever (thankfully), the mighty super kick he landed on his sister Courtney, and how it it didn't even phase her.
❝Sounds like Courtney's after Candice's balls of steel.❞ Kenny laughed as Matt ran his hand over his head and deeply exhaled before speaking up, ❝I hope my little girl never takes the bumps Candice does❞ he finalized.
While Nick waved a cab over, he glanced at his brother and shrugged— ❝as fathers to badass daughters, we can only hope that they come out as indestructible as Candice.❞
