Chapter 19:

Serena's POV:

Once I'm dressed I rob some stuff from Alaric's hunter stash and put them in secret places on my clothing.

I walked downstairs to see Elijah. "Hey I'm ready for tonight." I said. Elijah comes over and pulls me into a hug.

"I mean it Serry, stay safe." He chuckles a little. "Or else..."

"Ok I'm gonna get a drink first then..." I went to continue but I heard talking outside. I nodded to Elijah and walked out, closing the door behind me.

"You got me all nervous. I thought maybe you'd done something stupid. You ready my dear?" Klaus asked.

Elena nods. "I'm ready." Stefan takes a step forward. He glared at Klaus.

"I'm with Stefan here Elena. Klaus..." I said.

"Ahh sister Serena. Come to try and kill me?" He asked.

"Yes," I said as I gave him a migraine. He held his head in pain.

"No!" Elena said shaking me. I stopped the spell on Klaus.

"No, hey it's fine, I'll go. No one needs to get hurt. There's no reason for you to get hurt." Elena said.

"But your my little sister..." I sniffled. "As much as I hate you I also love you." I hugged her.

We pulled away and smiled at each other. Elena goes over to Stefan and kisses him.

"I love you guys." She said.

"I love you," Stefan said. I nodded at her. She kisses him again.

"Close your eyes, close your eyes." She whispered.

Stefan closed his eyes and she let go of his hand. I went to close my eyes but stopped when Klaus got closer to me.

"Oh no love, you don't need to do it too." Klaus said. "Your coming with us."

He grabbed me and Elena and sped off.
Klaus threw me and Elena to the ground in a circle marking around us. I tried to get out but it didn't work.

I see someone by Elena get up and groan. Then I realise it's Jenna. I gasped.

Jenna sat up clutching her head. "Oh, my head. What's wrong with me?" She asked.

"Do you remember what happened?" Elena asked.

"You called me. You were so scared. Oh, ah, I should have realised that it wasn't you. The second I walked out of the house, someone grabbed me." She explained. "A vampire."

"Klaus. It was Klaus." I said as I took a deep breath.

"He made me drink his blood. And I don't... I don't remember anything after that." She said as she looked around anxiously.

"Where are we? What happened?" Jenna asked. Elena took Jenna's hand in hers.

"We're at the quarry. He brought us here." Elena said.

"Why don't I remember anything?" Jenna asked.

"Jenna, do you remember... when I told you how someone becomes a vampire?" Elena said.

"Yeah, if you die with vampire blood in your system, it's..." she paused. "Oh god! He killed me!"

"Jenna listen to me. Everything's going to be ok. I'm going to get you out of here. Elena I already know you'll come back." I said.

"I'm a vampire!" Jenna gasped.

"And I bet you're hungry." Greta said as she walked over to Jenna.

Elena sees a sharp rock nearby and rushes over to get it but with a wave of her hand, Greta sends Elena flying backwards.

Greta waves her hand again creating a circle of fire around Elena. Elena stood up and rushed towards the flames but finds she can't escape.

I try and get out but Greta puts up a circle of fire around me too. She then makes her way over to Jenna.

"Don't bother trying to get through. I spelled the circle. You're trapped no matter what you do." Greta said smirking. I growled at her.

"Greta. Please just... just let her go..." Elena pleaded.

Greta picked up a rock and sliced her wrist open. Jenna looks at her wrist hungrily, as the blood drips to the ground.

"Klaus chose her," Greta said.

"No!" I shouted as Greta lowered her wrist towards Jenna.

"Drink it," Greta said.

"Jenna don't!" Elena shouted. I tried to think of ways to stop Jenna from being sacrificed.

"I can't!" Jenna said.

"Let her go! Hey!" Elena called.

Jenna grabs Greta's wrist and sunk her fangs into it.

"No! No!" Elena shouted. Elena's eyes glistening as Jenna's closed as the metallic taste entered her mouth.

Greta pulled her hand away a few seconds later and Jenna falls to the ground.

"That's enough," Greta said as she stands up.

"Jenna it's going to be ok," I said.

Greta flicked her wrist and another circle of fire appeared Jenna. Jenna retreated from the flames looking terrified.

"Look at me, hey look at me." Elena said. Jenna turns her head towards Elena, blood still dripping down her chin.

"It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay." She repeated almost like she was also trying to convince herself.

"No," Jenna whispered as the dark veins of hunger creep towards her eyes.

When the time come to it I knew what I had to do in order to protect Jenna.
