Chapter 16:

Serena's POV:

I woke up to a weird metallic flavour in my throat. My eyes took a few seconds to adjust but once they did I realised I was in Ric's apartment.

"Am I dead?" I asked.

"Good morning sleepy." A voice said. I looked over to see Katherine.

"Katerina!" I squealed. I jumped up and ran to her, pulling her into a hug. "I missed you and your sarcastic, witty attitude."

"Well I missed my drinking buddy."

Katherine walked over to the kitchen as she continues to make coffee and Alaric/klaus is at the door talking with a man.

"Yes do hurry I'm anxious to get out of this body. And if you get hung up , call me. You know how impatient I get." He said.

The man leaves. "Serena. I thought you were dead. You had no heartbeat." Alaric/Klaus said.

"Why do you care about me Klaus?" I asked.

"I like annoying you and your Stefan's bestie. That's going to come in handy to me later on." Alaric/Klaus said.

"Leave Stefan alone." I spat out. "Touch him or my sister and I WILL KILL YOU!"

"You already tried that and almost died if it weren't for my blood."

"YOUR BLOOD DID NOTHING! I HAVE A PROTECTION SPELL ON ME BECAUSE I DON'T TRUST THIS TOWN OR ANYONE IN IT!" I shouted.

"Right... your a witch. Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

"Didn't know I was obliged, Nik" I said. He smirked.

"Eugh! Get a room!" Katherine shouted. Alaric/Klaus chuckled.

"I wouldn't touch Klaus, he's trying to kill my sister,"I said.

"Whatever you say love," Alaric/Klaus chuckled. I glared at him.

"Boy if looks could kill..." Katherine said smugly. "Anyways where's he going?"

"To retrieve me, so I can get out of this bad hair-do." Alaric/Klaus said.

"I think Alaric's hair-do is nice actually," I said glaring at him.

"Are you sure that's a good idea Klaus?" Katherine asked. Klaus put the moonstone on the table.

"I killed the witch," he started. "Or shall I say one of them. I have the moonstone, and the doppelgänger is waiting in the wings. Ohhh I am ready to break the curse."

"Not if I have something to do with it." I muttered. I did the migraine spell on Alaric/Klaus. He groaned a little but still stood firmly.

He sped over to me, pinning me against the wall. "You may want to try better than that." He whispered in my ear.

"I wasn't going to kill you. At least not yet, and I only wanted you to feel pain for now..." I said smirking.

"There's so many people that want to stop you. Why would you do that here?" Katherine asked. Klaus released me.

"Because I have to. It's the birth place of the doppelgänger." Klaus said.
