Julian's POV
Finally we got rid of Ashley. I knew she was lying from the beginning, just like Charlie. But Brad was sturborn. He didn't trust himself enough to take a leap of faith. I kind of felt a little guilty for not talking to Ashley in the first place. Maybe I could have gotten some sense into her but I guess Andrew knows how to work with her.
Charlie gave me a smile when I closed the door as Ashley and her brother left. She had a reason to be happy.
"Good ridence." she waved at the door. I scoffed then walked to the dining table and sat.
"I am wondering if you'll forgive me as easily as you forgave her!" Brad gulped not taking his eyes off of Caroline. She had a straight face.
"Keep wondering." she nodded.
Brad is going to break down. I know it. "Baby, I will make things right. I'll make it up to you, I swear!" he pleaded but Caroline took a step back.
"I know you will but for now, we're done." she said then walked out the door. Charlie looked confused standing in the middle not knowing which one to follow. Eventually, she rushed to get to Caroline.
I was left with a desperate Brad to console him with something I had no idea about. What do I say to him?
This was one of those situations where I could only be there for him rather then give advices.
Brad sat on the couch holding his head and bouncing his roght leg up and down.
I walked to the fridge, grabbes two bear cans. "I think you need this." I put one can in front of him on the table and the other I had for myself.
He took the can, opened it then took a long sip. With a sigh, he leaned backwards. "What do I do?" he thought out loud.
"Take her to dinner!" I suggested. He shook his head. "That's not enough. I need some time to be alone with her so that we can talk and see each other all the time." he thought then took another sip.
This reminded me of the time when Kyle tried to huck up with this girl so he took her in one of his resorts for the weekend. Wait a minute, that's it!!
"Hey, remember that beach house Kyle has just outside the city?" I asked. He nodded. "Yeah!"
"That's it, we can go there for the weekend or a whole week if you want and you can make things right with your girl." I said enthusiastically.
"Are you sure?" he asked. "Absolutely, but Charlie will have to come too and pretend to be my girlfriend." I curved my lips. Brad laughed. "Are you kidding me? Of course she will do it. Only if you are sure we can go!" he pointed at me.
"Yeah, no big deal. I'll even call him now." I pulled out my scratched phone and dialled Kyle's number.
"Hello?" a woman's voice answered.
"Is Kyle there?" I asked giving Brad a look. He scoffed.
"Babeee...is for you!" the woman called in a lazy tone.
"Hello?" this was Kyle.
"Hey, whatcha doin'?" I asked.
"What do you think?" he teased. I rolled my eyes.
"Listen, can I have your beach house next week?"
"Oho, you and Charlie have some plans?!" I could picture him bouncing his eyebrows up and down.
"Sort of." I cleared my throat. "Brad and his girl are going to come too." I added. He grouched.
"You guys are boring. Both with girlfriends and no freedom."
