When I woke up, someone had covered me. I took a few minutes to think about my feelings before I stood up. But, I got nowhere so I stood up after a yawn. The sun was about to get down and I hopped Julian wasn't back yet.
Sophie and Greg were at the kitchen while Julia, Brad and Caroline were at the living room. They were happy.
Something happened.
Caroline was the first to see me. "Hey!" she smiled. Everyone turned to look at me. "I feel like I missed something?" I stated.
Julia stood up. "It's Julian, he found some proof regarding Adam's case and they let him go." she looked young again. I exhaled in relief. "That's great!" I said the smiled. "Thank God!" I smiled even more.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked looking at Brad and Caroline.
"It's fine, we didn't want to wake you up after your friend said your back hurt!" Julia explained.
"Oh!" I nodded.
"Charlie?" she called making me a bit nervous. "Thank you!" she hugged me. I was confused.
"For what?" I asked with a chuckle.
"For being with Julian. It seems like since he's with you he changed." she looked happy. "It wasn't because of me. He changed because he wants to make his parents proud. I didn't do anything." I explained.
Julia's smile was gone. She looked at the ground then covered her mouth. Her hands were shaking and she started to cry.
"I said something horrible to him." she whispered unable to breath.
"Julian is still alive, you can always apologize. I am sure he will be more then happy to forgive you!" I smiled and she wipped the tears.
"You're right." she nodded. "Mason was right, you know." she chuckled.
"About what?" I asked. He must have said something rude. "You are a keeper."
That I didn't expect. It was a pleasant surpise. But then I remembered I wasn't really Julian's girlfriend. This lie had gotten way too far.
"They will be here soon, so I am going to help Sophie with some food." she joined Sophie in the kitchen.
I sat on the couch, as promised.
"How did he even get that recording?" Brad thought out loud. I didn't want to say anything.
"What does it matter. Adam is free." Caroline added. Brad looked at her.
"This didn't turn out exactly how I hopped!" he said to her. She smiled then kissed his cheek. "Don't worry about it."
"You guys are awful!" I rolled my eyes.
"Did you talk to Julian before he left?" Brad asked. "We didn't talk." I whispered. "We fought, like always." I sighed then held my face.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Caroline asked still holding onto Brad. They were the best listeners but I really wasn't the most opened person.
"Someday, once I figure everything out!" I was on the verge of tears. Caroline must have noticed because she stood up to sit next to me and hug me.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. It's what you always say!" she smiled. "Yeah, I know." I nodded.
"Wait," Brad took a sniff of me. "You smoked again?" he spat whispering.
"I was mad!" I sulked. "Okay, The minute we get home you stop this stupid habit!" he demanded.
"Fine!" I sighed.
The door bell rang. Someone opened the door and they screamed.
It was a happy scream.
