Chapter 15: Pudding

CHAPTER 15: PUDDING

After my last class, I took a quick stop at the garden before going to the club meeting.

"Where did it go?"

I apparently dropped my hair pin this morning. I checked the classroom, the cafeteria, nada! Zip! None!

"It has to be here somewhere."

I looked around and under the bench. I can't lose that pin. It's not even mine. My grandma wouldn't be too happy about this. She wouldn't be mad either. Grandma never gets mad at me. But I don't like seeing her sad. After a good 30 minutes of searching, I gave up and sat down on the bench.

"Where else did I go?" I stared up at the see through ceiling and saw that the moon was full tonight.

"No point in sitting around here all night."

I got up and ran to the music room.

"Hi... Guys..." I said in between breathes.

"How nice of you to join us Rochelle." Kim addressed me.

"Sorry. I was just looking for something."

"Well, that can wait. Now what are we doing for the talent show? I'm going to send in our application tomorrow morning."

"A band! Josephine on drums, me on bass and Zane on lead guitar." Cooper suggested.

"You alright with that Zane?" Kim asked him. He simply nodded in reply.

"Now who are the singers?"

"Well, Zane can sing. We just need a girl to sing with him." Cooper looked over at me. "You up for it?" I had to think about this for a while even though I already knew what I wanted to say. No.

"I don't know." Rochelle! Why won't you listen to yourself for once?!

"I think you'll do fine Rochelle. We'll be having practices anyway after classes. We have plenty of time to get ready."

"Since you put it that way." Rochelle!

"Great! A band it is then!" Kim starts writing down on a piece of paper.

"What are you guys doing Kim?" Cooper asked.

"Since Ron and I won last year, we're simply hosting for the talent show."

"How about Justin?" I blurted out. Kim smiled at me.

"Justin will be doing an intermission number then. Don't worry. You don't have much competition. Relax."

"Where's Ron and Levi?" I asked her.

"Oh! I asked them to practice by the pool. Good resonance over there. Lets go check them out."

We all picked up our things and headed for the pool.

"LEVIIIIIIIII!" I practically screamed when I saw him wearing my hair pin.

"Oh! Hi Rochelle!" We waved so nicely at me.

"What are you doing with my pin?"

"Wearing it obviously." Levi rolls his eyes at me.

"Where did you get it?"

"I found it."

"Where?"

"Somewhere."

"Levi!"

"Here. You can have it back." Levi took off the pin and placed it in my hand. I put it in my hair and headed for the bleachers.
