CHAPTER 20

I walked as fast as I could. My breathing was unsteady. I knew Liam was watching me the whole time. I could feel his gaze, that made me even more conscious. My legs felt too feeble to walk. Even though I proved him that I was not scared at all but indeed I was. Scared that I will lose myself in the pleasure. Scared that I will drown myself in him. Scared that I am the only one in love. Scared that if he continues this next time, maybe I will allow him to go on till the end. Without taking another second I called for the lift. Those five seconds that lift took to open were the worst fraction of seconds I had in my life.

*ting*

I stepped in and turned around to see if Liam was still there. I saw no sign of him. Phew! I pushed the button to ground floor and leaned on the chilled wall of elevator. I opened my bag and saw the note again.  Liam wrote it to me. I read it few times and smiled like an idiot. I thanked Lord when I heard Liam say that the dress was given by him. My mind was in skepticism regarding that sexy dress but now that I know it was for me and was gifted by Liam, I was floating on ninth heaven. I came back to real world when lift reached to the ground floor and I stepped out. 

Today I had no work. I had completed everything beforehand. Yesterday night was the longest night I ever had. Fred had called me in the evening and asked me to prepare a presentation report for the business deal we are having with Royal Enterprise. I didn't even know what was the project for. I asked Fred to send me all the necessary details. He sent me everything that was required. I studied the details and found that they are dealing with a hotel. They want to open a hotel. The entire discussion was about what profits we all may get; taking into considerations about location, type of customers we will deal with, staff members, deliveries, services and money that is to be invested.

It took me total six to seven hours to prepare a detailed presentation on it. I slept so late that I didn't even wake up at time. I was sleeping till eleven in the morning. I had plans for today which got ruined, thanks to my monstrous sleep. All the girls decided to pay a visit to a nearby shopping mall. I've heard a lot about it. You get jewelries, clothing, shoes, perfumes, accessories and what not. I've also heard that they are at reasonable price. I groaned in irritation. I mean it, I will take Fred with me for shopping. All because of this sudden presentation, I couldn't go with my girls.

I walked towards the exit gate of the hotel and wore my sun-glasses. I will go somewhere today. I just can't waste few days that are left here. Truly this place is heaven. Its beautiful, calm and has everything that a person needs when he is out for a holiday. I stood outside the hotel area and waited for a cab to show up.

"Ms. Taylor, listen up. Hey, Ms. Taylor..... woah...Ms. Taylor", a person whom I don't recognize said. He was running with a speed of light. I know I exaggerated but I swear he was running as if he had fire set upon him. While running and shouting out my name he almost tripped. I couldn't control my laughter even though I felt bad for him. "Ms. Taylor.. I..", he said while huffing. I raised my hands and moved them up and down as I breathed. He smiled in return and calmed himself. "Now that you feel better tell me why are you looking out for me? Is it so important that you had to run like a flock of Ostriches were after you?", I said as I tried to suppress my laugh. He looked at me in disbelief.
