CHAPTER 27

We ran away and laughed all the way. Every time we talked about those ladies, we came into fits of laughter. We had no where to go after garden was cut off from our list of options except for one. A place where we loved dining. A hotel named 'Crunchies'. It was located in our vicinity. We marched towards the hotel as we talked about the incident that happened and I scolded Ella. I asked her not to do it again to anyone. "Hey come on, you loved it too. Am I not right?" she asked as she bumped me while walking. I nodded my head in approval and screamed,"Please please pllleaase forgive me for my sins." I entwined my hands and looked at Ella. She laughed back and we playfully gave each other a hi-fi. 

*tring*

I felt my phone buzz and undid my purse. "Uh! just a second kido. You go have a seat I will come in a minute or so," I said. I tapped on the answer button and held mobile to my ear. "What should I order?" she asked. "The regular one," I shouted back. I saw her sauntering in the direction of the hotel and spoke, "Hey Lily. What's up?" "I should be asking you the same," I heard her giggle. "What do you mean?" I asked in confusion. "I can see, you are out for a lunch and he already knows what your regular meal is," she said teasingly. It hit me then, she was thinking I was out with Rob. "Laugh Out Loud Lily. I am not with him. That was my sister Ella," I said. I heard nothing in response from the other side so I called out her name. "I am sorry Anna. I thought you were out with him and I just assumed it when you said regular one..," she said as she dragged the latter part. "Its okay Lily. What's so wrong about assuming me with him?" I asked reassuringly and continued, "its normal so please relax and tell me, did you call me for a reason?" "Oh yes, are you coming with us for partying. You can bring your room mates along," I heard her ask cheerfully. 

"Sorry Lily, I forgot to tell you. I am not in Toronto. I am in my hometown, Texas, so I can't join you all," I said in grimace. "Oh! no that's totally fine Anna. You have fun with your family. I will call you later. Bye," said Lily. I cut the call and went inside the hotel. I shifted my eyes in order to look for Ella and saw her sitting in a corner. I walked to her and got seated as well. "You are late Pika," said Ella. "I am sorry. My friend called me from my workplace so I had to attend the call," I said as I placed the table cloth on my lap. "That reminds me about your love. Isn't he an office crush?" asked Ella with shiny eyes. I chuckled at her enthusiasm and nodded my head. "Don't you dare fool me. I am not letting you off so easily. You have to tell me about each and every detail," she said in heinous voice. I have to say, my little sister is a devil when it comes to digging out stuff from me.

"Madam," said the waitress, "could you please move your hands aside so that I can place your meal?" I smiled back at her and said, "sure." We did as we were told. Our eyes tracked at the food she was carrying in her tray with hungry eyes and mouth watering desire to have it as soon as possible. The moment she left us all alone with the food, we pounced on it like animals. Our regular meals consisted of two special Crunchie's burgers, two veg pastas in Arrabiata sauce and two extra cheese fries. We gulped down the food quickly like savage animals and within fifteen minutes we were done with it. "Excuse me, can you get the bill?" I called out the waitress.

A waitress approached our table and cleaned it. "So we are done scaring people, we also had food so now I want to hear out your love story." "Okay. I will, while we go back home. We will take the longer route," I said as I winked at her. "So you mean, we are going to have ice-creams too? You remember?" she asked in surprise. I laughed at her innocent remark and said, "yes. Two chocolate scoops and one butterscotch scoop in between those two and the waffle cone, right?" Her mouth fell as she heard me. "Whoa! Pika I just love you," she said in between giggles. "Madam, your bill," I heard the waitress coming in. I asked her to come back within five minutes. She nodded and left the bill on our table. I took the bill in my hand and went over the list of items. The moment I took out my purse to pay; bill was snatched away from my hand.
