CHAPTER 21

I slammed Liam's office door and marched towards my office in exasperation. My hands balled into fists and I could feel my nails digging into my skin. The girl in his office was Alice Weasley. The one whose information was filed and given to Fred. I just don't get it. Why was she in his office? Plus on that they were holding hands. I groaned in vexation. Why the hell Liam do this to me? He makes me believe I am the only one for him and he has eyes only for me but then all of a sudden someone appears and he treats me like I am nothing. No I am not complaining about him being with other girls. I just need to know where do I stand in his life. If I am not his first choice then why does he speak words that would make me believe something that is not true. Like his predilection for me. I felt like my heart was burning and I couldn't do anything. 

I reached my office and banged the door. I was feeling this uneasiness for the first time. I didn't want to be gloomy anymore so I switched on my laptop and played my favourite movie. "Coochikins?". I didn't even need to look up to see who it was. I folded my arms over my chest and smiled at Fred. "Hey", I said in a low tone, "I didn't know you were good at making no sounds when you walk". He walked towards me and sat on the nearby chair. "That's my talent babe. Leave that aside and tell me what's wrong?", he asked as he put laptop on the other side of the table. Now we were sitting face to face. I was feeling so sick and irritated that I couldn't keep my pain inside me. "Can you answer me something?",I asked as I looked in his eyes with sobriety. He looked at me for few seconds and then said, "wow you get to a point very quickly. As for your question, why not? Bring it on. Anything for you my coochikins". I gave him a smile and lowered my head. "Who is Alice?", I asked.

I couldn't help it. I knew my actions could make Fred feel suspicious but I wanted to know who she exactly was. She was holding hands with Liam and I felt really jealous. A sudden urge in me to hug and claim him rose up. It hit my heart very bad and I wanted to know something about her. Who she is and how she knows our company. Why to search someone over internet when you can know about her by a person next to you. I know Fred well. He will never ask information about a person without any reason. He don't go for unknown people and waste his time searching about him or her, so I concluded that Fred may know something about this Alice girl.

I looked up at Fred and raised my eyebrows. Fred didn't speak anything. He was peering at me. It was like he was trying to judge why I asked this question. "She is my childhood friend coochikins", he finally gave in and continued speaking, "and she is tagging along with the company and its members since few years, in some way or another. You can say she is our associate. Why do you ask?", he said as he shifted his body towards me. I shrugged in response and said, "I was just curious. You asked me to get information about her before our party and now she is here". I said as I threw my hands here and there, trying to fool him with my answer. "Anyway thanks", I looked at him and smiled.
