Layla was riding her scooter down the street.

She wanted to get away from the house because everybody was mean to each other, so she grabbed her helmet and scooter and was going to a park she liked.

No one knew where she was, although she didn't care at the time. It was her getaway place whenever her family was fighting.

Layla knew where the park was, even though she had only been there twice before. Even though Layla was only six years old, she could handle herself if people just believed in her!

Almost to the park, Layla took a short break on the side of the road. She took a sip of her juice box and continued on.

Only a few seconds later, the sky turned a pink color, and a dark swirling circle appeared in front of her!

Of course, Layla fell down surprised.

The pinkness of the sky seemed to come down into a single point in front of Layla and turned into a pink creature thingy.

The sky was blue again, and the portal was gone, but the pink creature was still here!

It loomed over Layla and was about to strike when she heard a voice she didn't know scream to get the monster's attention.

A boy was running toward where she was. He scooped up a rock from the ground and impaled the rock into the creature's skull.

It disappeared into a cloud of black dust. The mysterious boy looked victorious, but then he looked down and saw that he was wounded where his heart was!

He seemed to pass out as another portal appeared in front of him and sucked him in.

The boy disappeared, and after everything settled down, Hope passed out too.

She woke up in the hospital, and after her family visited, a detective came in and asked what happened. Layla told him, but he didn't believe a word she said.

"Of course he doesn't believe me," Layla thought, "I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't there!"

The detective looked upset and said that she must've hit her head hard to imagine all that. Layla felt pouty but decided it wouldn't help anything to argue.

She barely believed it happened anymore.

~10 Years Later~

Layla woke up in her bed and decided she didn't care if her head looked like a bird's nest.

She threw on some clothes, ate breakfast, and headed off to school.

She went to first period, only to find a new person. Layla immediately became self-conscious, as it was a cute boy next to her seat.

She sat down and tried not to stare. Suddenly she couldn't take it.

"Hi!" Layla said, "My name's Layla. I don't think I've seen you around here before."

The boy looked slightly confused, but then put on a smile. "The name's Mason," The boy said, "and yes, I'm new here. Do you think you could show me around sometime?"

Layla felt her face turn a little red, but she managed to nod and turn towards the teacher.

After school, she showed Mason around and showed him all the rooms. They got to a closet, and Mason said he wanted to go inside.

So, Layla opened the closet, which was surprisingly unlocked, and closed the door behind.

As soon as the door shut, Mason's eyes turned shining yellow. Layla suddenly felt trapped in the tiny broom closet.

She was about to scream when Mason transformed into the pink creature from 10 years ago!

Layla screamed, and the creature knocked her out with a blow to the neck. A swirling portal appeared where the door should've been, and it threw Layla inside.

She woke up on the front porch of her house.

Confused, Layla looked around and saw a boy about her age. He walked up to her looked surprisingly happy.

"Hi," the boy said, "I'm Myth." "You look familiar," Layla said, "have we met before?"

Myth just smiled when she asked. She blinked, and he was gone. Layla turned around, even more, confused than before, and then saw Myth just standing there.

"Hi'" Myth said, "My name's Myth! What's yours?" "

My name's Layla," Layla said suspiciously, "but we already met.."

"No this is the first time we've met," he said. Layla blinked again, but he was gone.

Spooked, she went into her house, but Myth was sitting on the couch!

"I'm the guy who saved you 10 years ago you know." He said.

Layla was stunned. She had thought that was a dream.

Suddenly, she had a flashback of Myth saving her from the pink creature from before.

Layla backed away slowly, but she hit something. She looked back and saw that she had hit Myth! He suddenly had glowing red eyes.

"You will never escape this place," Myth said, in a voice deeper than before.Layla screamed.
