Myth woke up in a white room surrounded by people in white coats, doctors maybe? He sat up and looked around at the people, confusion plastered on his face.
He stopped when he saw a familiar face. A woman's. His mother. Myth felt a year roll down his face as he reached out. She squeezed him while crying herself.
"I-I-I mi-missed you s-so much," she said through tears, "and n-now you're finally b-back!"
Myth's mother fell into his lap and wept.
Myth held her, unsure of what was happening. Where was Thera? What happened to Delario?
Where was he? How did he get here?
"What happened?" Myth asked no one in particular, "where am I?"
'Myth's mother looked, about to say something, but one of the people in the coats stopped her.
"We know you've waited 10 years for him to wake up Beatrice," he said, "but we really must do a few tests to see if his condition is stable."
Myth's mother, Beatrice, nodded and walked out of the room.
"Now," the doctor said, "what's the last thing you remember?"
Myth thought back to when he saved Small Layla from the Pink Esea creature. He told the doctor that and he wrote something on his notepad.
"That's almost what happened," the doctor said, "a kidnapper was trying to steal the little girl, and they had some toxic gas. When you knocked out the kidnapper, you were exposed to the gas, which forced you into a coma. It must've also had hallucinogenic capabilities."
"Big words." Myth thought.
"Cool," Myth said, trying not to laugh at his thoughts, "what now?"
"We're going to perform some cautionary tests," he said, "and if you pass them all, you will be free to go by tomorrow morning."
A few hours passed, and my brother and I discovered the new avatar--- wait wrong thing.
A few hours passed and it grew darker outside. The tests had finally been finished, and the results would be analyzed tomorrow morning. Myth could finally go home! He could see his kitty!!
He could barely contain his excitement, but exhaustion overcame him, and he passed out.
Myth woke up to the sound of birds chirping, and hospital noises. He waited for the doctor to come in, and a few minutes later he did.
"Well Myth," he said, seriousness on his face, "I have some bad news."
Myth felt a wave of panic flow through him. What was wrong? Why is it bad news? Is he not going home?
Myth looked at the doctor, and a smile took over the serious faced doctor.
"You're free to go."
Myth felt the panic and distress leave his mind as he jumped out of the uncomfortable hospital bed. As soon as he did that, he saw he wasn't wearing pants. His face turned red, and he put on some pants. This is why Myth hated hospitals.
Beatrice was waiting for him outside the front door and gave him another hug. Myth also saw that his sister had grown older as well. She had tears in her eyes as she hugged him. They'd never been very close, but they still loved each other.
Myth hopped in the car in excitement and hit his head on the ceiling. He guessed that after 10 years, he'd grown as well.
Even though Myth had been in a coma, they did eventually move. He was excited to see his new house, and especially his kitty!
What made Myth even more excited was the fact that they stopped at a McDonald's!!! He loved McDonald's with a burning passion. Almost as much as his kitty, but just barely not there.
They arrived at the new house, and Myth stepped in, looking around. His kitty ran up to him, looking old, but still running!
"KITTY!" Myth shouted excitedly, "I MISSED YOU THE MOST!" This made his mother and sister chuckle a little. They couldn't blame him, they knew how much he loved the kitty.
His family gave Myth some time alone with his kitty, even though they wanted to spend time with him. A few minutes passed, and he heard a growl. He was hungry! Remembering from before he fell into a coma, he went into the kitchen and found what he was looking for. The hot pockets!
Myth was about to reach for the box when he heard a screeching outside. After the screeching stopped, the sound of a crash exploded in his ear. Then, a girl covered in blood stepped in his house. She looked familiar..
"Myth," Thera said, "this isn't real. We have to escape."
