So Close

Total darkness. Was he going back to Thorn? Myth thought.

He saw a light ahead of him. It was the street where he disappeared!

Myth ran towards it, but it seemed only to get farther away. He felt a sense of sorrow as he heard evil laughter.

Myth tried to scream, but he couldn't speak. He then proceeded to get pulled into darkness and spit out through the next portal.

Myth was sick of these trials! He soon calmed down and looked at his surroundings. Myth screamed and pounded on the cement.

It was the same.

Frikin.

Place.

People gave him weird looks as they passed by.

Yay.

Yeah, Myth was pissed off.

He had gotten shot with an arrow, fell through a portal, and almost got home, but some evil lil duckling was keeping him here, probably just for giggles!

Myth hit the floor until his hands were bleeding.

Then something weird happened.

He got a flash of red in his eyes and his hair turned blood red, but only for an instant. Myth looked up and saw a girl looking at him, fear in her eyes.

He got up to try and calm her down, but the girl ran away.

Myth didn't know what to do, so he ran after her.

She led him to a narrow alley with two people at the other end. One of them was the girl that ran away, and the other one he didn't know.

"Th-th-that's the guy I was telling you about!" The girl shuddered. The one next to the girl was a boy dressed in a school uniform.

"Are you sure Sophia?" The boy asked the girl.

"Yes Jacob," the Sophia said.

"Then we have no choice but to capture him and take him to Charlotte," Jacob said.

Too pissed off to try and explain himself, Myth charged at them.

He immediately went to Jacob and kneed him in the stomach.

Jacob fell on the cement unconscious.

Myth then tripped Sophia, and as she fell, he grabbed her leg, spun around, and threw her against a wall. It started to rain.

Myth looked in a piece of glass and saw that his hair and eyes were blood red.

Myth roared with rage and ran away to hide somewhere.

Someone appeared in front of him.

A girl.

She tried to snap his neck, but he sidestepped and punched her throat.

She stepped back a little, but otherwise no reaction.

Still overwhelmed with rage, he rushed and punched a hole in her stomach and kicked her over.

She got up, and the hole regenerated.

Myth was still up close, so he got a good look at her face.

She had dead, soulless eyes. He stepped back.

"Who are you?" Myth hissed.

"My name is Charlotte," the girl said, "where are Sophia and Jacob?"

"I dumped them in an alley," Myth said with a smirk.

Charlotte tried to lunge over him, but Myth grabbed her leg and threw her in the sky.

He jumped up and snapped her neck as she got stuck in the ground.

Myth knew she wouldn't be down for long, so he stood in a fighting stance.

She got up off the ground. "We'll finish this later," Charlotte mumbled as she disappeared.

Myth ran to a cave, and his appearance turned back to normal.

The realization of what he did dawned on him, and he passed out.
