Death Is Only The Beginning

"UGH," Myth cried in frustration. He had just learned that he was moving. Again.

Myth had hoped that it wouldn't happen again, but of course, life had to throw another curve ball...

Even though he hadn't moved for a while, moving meant that he was leaving his friends behind.

"There's nothing you can do about it, Myth," his mother said. "We're moving, and that's that!"

Myth sighed as he fell in his bed in sorrow. Making friends at the last school had been hard enough, but now it would be nearly impossible.

He was very shy around people he wasn't comfortable around, and almost every conversation got really awkward really quickly. When he was a kid, Myth had hardly any trouble making friends.

"Hi, my name is Myth! Wanna be friends?" Myth recalled.

Since he was 15 now, making friends was harder than ever.

As his mother left the room, so Myth pulled out his phone and started playing a game. About 6.153 seconds later, he set his phone down, unable to concentrate.

Myth laid there in his bed for a while, and then his stomach growled.

"At least there's something to do...", Myth said to himself.

As he walked out of his room, Myth witnessed his mother telling his 11-year-old sister, Tryn, the news. Trust me, it was a terrible sight. Eyes puffy, face red, tears on the face, that sort of thing.

Myth didn't want anything to do with that, so he kept walking until he got into the kitchen.

Myth has no cooking skills what-so-ever, so he just poured himself some cereal, as usual. After he poured the cereal, Myth realized he had forgotten the milk!

He walked over to the fridge and didn't see any milk...

Myth was infuriated now. Nothing was going his way, and while everyone was worrying about the next test, Myth was worrying about where he would be living.

Even though Myth was really mad, he still wasn't the type of person to take out his anger on objects and people.

So he went into the living room and started smashing some computerized opponents to dust.

There are three things in life that Myth can entirely not live without video games, kitties, and memes.

His addiction to these things has brought attention to some people who think they know better than him, but Myth doesn't care about what they have to say. As long as he's having fun, he's fine the way he is.

Myth smashed another opponent as his kitty rubbed up against his leg. He loved his kitty like nothing else! She was so cute and always slept on him when it was night.

Myth's stomach growled to reminded him that he was still hungry. Myth went into the kitchen once more, but this time looking for hot pockets.

He was just about to grab the hot pocket box when a scream rang in his ear. It was coming from outside! Myth ran to and opened his front door, seeing two figures not too far away.

"This is crazy..." Myth said to himself.

He ran towards the figures with great haste, though he was starting to get tired. Myth wasn't overweight, but he was out of shape, and he has asthma.

Myth was close enough to the two figures that he could make out some simple features.

One of them was a small girl, around the age of six maybe. The other was the shape of a man, but it was weird. His skin was reddish-pink, and as Myth got closer, he saw the man had claws and glowing yellow eyes!

Myth was almost at the scene when the creature raised its claws above the girl's head. The world seemed to slow down around them. In a panic, Myth grabbed a stone off the ground.

"HEY, YOU!", Myth yelled, still running. "LOOK OVER HERE!"

Myth only had a split second to realize the creature was upon him. With lightning-like reflexes, the man-thing swung his claws at Myth's heart. Somehow, Myth matched his speed, and with a scream, smashed the rock in the creature's skull.

The creature had vanished in a flash of light, which meant Myth had succeeded in saving the girl!

He didn't know what that was, or what he just did, but he somehow protected the girl from almost certain death.

He was about to stand and help the girl when he felt excruciating pain in his chest. Myth looked down at himself and saw a giant hole where his heart should be.

The world began to go blurry and black when he heard somebody, his mother maybe, scream his name.

The world turned black.
