Tomorrow was thanksgiving and honestly I was excited. It's crazy to say considering that at the beginning of this week my father slapped me and my mother and was taken off in a cop car, but it's true. My mom is doing pretty well, but I wonder if it's a front for her children. Between me, Jace, and Magnus we've tried to keep her occupied and get her to open up to us. Her best friend is my fathers best friends wife who he's currently staying with so she can't really talk to her. Izzy is taking it the hardest. She was daddies little girl and daddy is now a complete asshole in her eyes. I understand why she's a bit lost right now. She's called Simon every night and I think he's actually helping her. I hate to admit it, but I like that little weirdo of hers. If he's making he happy during this time he can stick around.
"No we have to stop at Target, they will have all the movies on sale," Magnus stated pulling out the flyer.
My mom, Izzy, and Magnus were more than excited about Black Friday shopping. Me and Jace were excited for a good sleep in.
"Yes!" Izzy exclaimed pulling it from his hands. "And they always have those ridiculously fluffy blankets on sale! I need to get Simon one because he always gets so cold," she laughed.
"I need to get me one," my mom laughed.
"Alexander do you see anything you need?" Magnus said turning to me from the dinning table.
"You know the movies I like," I smiled taking a sip of my drink.
"I need some new games. Just saying," Jace said blocking my vision of Magnus.
"Oooo I think I saw good ones at Game Stop!" Izzy started looking.
"Alec, have you been using your bow lately? Dicks always has a good sale maybe we can get you some new arrows," my mom said looking for the flyer.
"Wait, wait, wait, bow? Arrows? You're an archer?" Magnus said looking at me with pure wonder.
"He could hit any target, moving or stable," Jace chimed from behind the fridge door.
I knew I started to blush when Magnus grinned wide.
"Show me, now."

"I haven't done it in a while so if I miss the first shots don't judge," I said putting my gloves on.
"I'm so excited," Magnus said standing back with my mom. "So how did he learn again?" he asked my mom.
"He saw someone else doing it on base when he was about 5 and he insisted on doing it. What'd you call him G-man?" my mom called out.
"Yeah, he was like my grandpa," I said putting my arrows on.
"He was an amazing older gentle man. He taught Alec all the basics. When we would move he kept in contact and told him places to find clubs and training lands to practice." Her eyes got a little sad. "He was so important to Alec. He died when Alec was about 12 and his family invited us to the funeral and they gave Alec his bow."
"It's hanging in my room back at school. You never noticed it baby?" I asked a little amused.
"No I get a little distracted sometimes," he winked.
"Ready love birds?" Jace said from the side lines.
"Oh yeah," Magnus sat back overly excited.
I got my bow ready and took a couple practice shows at an easy straight target. To my surprise I didn't miss one, there were only two outside of my bulls eye.
I turned and grinned at Magnus, "impressed yet?"
"You don't even know," he said looking at the target.
"Come on Alec, show him the real talent," Izzy winked getting some popcorn like it was a show.
I nodded at Jace and he threw an apple up in the air. I took a deep breath and shot. Clean hit. It earned me some cheers from my eager audience. I took a deep breath and fired three shots at different target lines along the back of the fences.
I was in my element and just going for it. There were a couple of fruits thrown in the air along before all was finished. I turned and took a bow to see a standing ovation from my audience.
"Alexander," Magnus started to walk towards me and picked up an apple with an arrow straight threw, "this is amazing."
"Thank you," I bent down to peck his lips.
He grinned and wrapped an arm around my waist, "it's also really hot."
I grinned big, "so I should show you more often?"
"Hell yes," he kissed my lips again.
I smiled looking around at my siblings and my mom picking up the fruit in the backyard laughing. Relief flooded through me. Maybe we'll all be okay after all.
