The Cave Of Two Lovers

Chapter 3

That night at dinner they were discussing plans.

"Well, I know a safe place that they would never think to look: our vacation house on Ember Island. No-one in our entire family ever goes there. But before we go to Ember Island I would like to go to Omashu so I can find my Uncle. I know where they would take him." Zuko suggests.

"Okay, tomorrow morning we will head to Omashu. We need to find the the quickest way there." Sokka responded before Katara could say anything.

"I know the fastest way is through a mountain. Um... there is a legend built around it."

"No! NONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can't go through the Cave of Two Lovers again. It was horrible the first time, I am not going a second time." Sokka yelled agravated. Katara took this chance to annoy her brother and help Zuko out. Not that she would admit that she did that.

"I agree with Zuko. We should go to Omashu and the fastest route is through the Cave of Two Lovers." Everybody was stunned, Katara and Zuko were agreeing. Before anyone could say something Aang spoke up.

"We should do this because Zuko and Katara are agreeing. We should do this before they get in another fight and won't go anywhere with each other."

The next morning they are all loading up on Appa. "Katara we never finished our conversation. Can I talk to you privately please?" Zuko said pulling Katara behind him. "I wanted to say I am so so sorry for everything that I have ever done wrong because I want to be friends with you." 'Or maybe even more...' he added to himself.

"I guess in time we could wipe the slate clean. It will just take some time." She said and she was sincere. "Okay we should get back we don't want them to leave without us."

When they got back Aang pulled her into a huge hug and gave Zuko a look just like from when they were in the crystal catacombs. They all climbed on Appa, then they got to the entrance of the mountain. "Well it looks like the badger moles fixed the entance." Sokka added sadly.
