With Zuko and Katara

After Haru left the captain took away the smaller room to rent out to a different person. "I want you to be honest with me. Did you make Haru leave?" Katara questioned.

"No, well maybe..." Katara gave him a look."Yes." He said with a sigh.

It was the second night, they would reach Ember Island in the morning. Many of the passengers, especially the younger men, thought it would be fun to get drunk by cactus juice. Katara decided to go for a walk on the boat deck. "Hey pretty lady." A drunk man said. Katara decided to ignore him. He only advanced towards her. "Aw come on, don't ignore me." Then she heard a clunk and turned around thinking he had passed out. But really Zuko knocked him out.

"He was annoying you." Zuko justified. They both walked back to their room. "So what do you want to do after the war ends?" He asked trying to strike up a conversation.

"I don't know I will probably end up going back down to the south pole and help rebuild it. Then I would like to travel the world. I just hope my father doesn't promise me to someone I don't even know. Although it wouldn't be my father's idea, my Grandpa would probably convince him."

"Wait so you can't refuse a marriage?" Zuko replied shock.

"Well in the North pole women can't refuse a marriage proposal. And in the south pole as long as her father doesn't interfere she can refuse. Although lately there haven't been any marriage proposals in the south because all the men went to fight."

"Well I don't really know about the fire nation I never paid attention to what my sister said about it. And up until a little bit ago everyone including me thought I was going to marry Mai. But that has changed."

"When did it change?" Katara questioned.

"About the first time I went to the south pole and I got into this huge battle over the Avatar and this girl showed up and she was gorgeous. This was the moment I realized I wasn't going to marry Mai and any one who thought so was wrong."

"Aww. How sweet. Zuko?"

"Yes Katara?"

"Did you ever learn any children's tales or songs?" Zuko nodded. "Please tell me it or sing the song." So he told the story that his mother had taught him, it was about how the first benders came to be. Once he finished he realized Katara had wrapped herself tightly around him and she had fallen asleep. They woke up in the morning and realized the position they were in, Zuko had one arm around Katara and holding her fairly close. They both started packing, and remembered the conversation they had the night before.

They grabbed their bags and reached Zuko's house right as the gaang loaded onto Appa. "Katara!" Aang yelled propelling himself off Appa and almost tackling Katara. Everyone runs over and hugs Katara and Zuko although Jet only hugged Katara and Sokka just lightly punched him. They had a few hours where they just spoke with each other about what had happened to each other.

"Okay so yesterday Sukki and I went into town and saw a poster for a play. A play about the Avatar and friends. The show is put on by the Ember Island Players." Sokka said excitedly.

"Oh-no. Not them. They overexhagerate and ruin the story. We shouldn't go." Zuko complained. Everyone decided to go, they ended up convincing Zuko to go.

They walk to the theatre and get ready to go in.
